Could do better

Overall a very pleasant overnight stop but a few things could have been better with a little effort When we arrived as normal we were asked to go and choose a pitch and return to the office, the site has a one way system so you can’t drive all the way round without exiting via the magnetic card controlled barriers but they don’t give you a pass to allow that so your stuck at the exit barriers. The electric points have an unusual connection where you need to twist the connection, I’m sure this may be used on other sites so if you are familiar with this system then fine but it would be useful for it to be commented on when we checked in. We asked at reception if there was a set route route to cycle to the sea avoiding the busy road and were told no just “follow your nose straight down’ in fact there is even a page on the site web page that shows a far more user friendly route. The club leaflet recommends the Six Bells however at 4 pm on Sunday it was closed there is another pub the locomotive just as close which we found to be quite acceptable

Lovely site

Our third visit and certainly not our last, it is fast becoming our go-to site for short breaks. Only criticism would be that the pitches are a little too close together and we felt a bit hemmed in with a van each side and behind with not much room between. Not a problem at quiet times however. Other than that, everything was fine - friendly staff, clean facilities, decent dog walk. As other reviewers have mentioned, I was rather confused by the refuse bins - one bin said recycling on the side but others had nothing. It is so important to recycle these days, it should be a priority on site. We had a meal (our second, first one three years ago) at the Six Bells and cannot recommend it highly enough. Dog friendly, superb food, great service from a bubbly and efficient waitress and a lovely ambience. Food is a bit expensive but it was really lovely so no complaints there. Thought the bill for the drinks was rather steep, however, and glad I kept my intake to a minimum

Littlehampton

Littlehampton is our local site, which we use for any free weekends. The site is always clean and tidy. Yes the recycling bins do need marking, I am sure the club will soon rectify this problem. reading other latest reviews , about the local traffic and railway lines causing congestion, this is a nationwide problem, not just for this site! The only snag I find is the boy racers using the road as a race track at night, again, nothing the club can do about this, just grin and bear it! Just another nation wide problem! Littlehampton seafront has undergone vast improvements over the last few years, a loverly place for children and adults. Enjoy.

Not a good area for cycling

Site is clean and wardens are helpful. The recycling bins would be better if they were clearly marked for specific rubbish. Unfortunately, the area is not good for cycling. The roads are very busy and although there are some cycle paths, they are few and difficult to find. There are lots of new houses being built and the roads are congested which is very frustrating for motorists and all road users. The trains are very frequent and the level crossings increase the long queues on the roads. The harbour and seashore were well kept and busy with holidaymakers.

Lovely site

Great site, everything you’d expect from a Club site. Very spacious dog walk. Buses to Littlehampton and Arundel not far from site. Morrisons supermarket within a short walking distance. Littlehampton within walking distance about 30 minutes. Terribly disappointed in the town, very run down but this is the case with a lot of places these days.

Lovely site

We took our two young Granddaughters here for a long weekend. It's a lovely site which is well kept and very clean with friendly and helpful staff. The site is not far from Littlehampton Marina, Harbour Park and the town centre.

Easter weekend

We have just arrived back from a 3 night stay over the Easter weekend. We arrived at the site and changed our booking and the site accommodated us quickly and smoothly. They placed us on a disabled pitch which was our changes. We were asked what end of the toilet block we needed depending on the gender of the disabled person. We ended up right next to the toilet block which was great for our family. Being next to the facilities was very handy for my Dad and made the stay so much easier for him. (There was no noise from the block like some other sites you go to) The toilet blocks closes at 10:30 for cleaning so get your shower before then. I would say the block is the cleanest I have seen on a site and it doesn’t matter what time of day you go over. The showers are very nice with plenty of hot water and pressure. The facilities such as sinks and laundry were of a very high standards. The one that surprised me was the chemical waste as we have all seen some questionable ones this one was so Clean and fresh it surprised me when I first went through the door. The staff are very friendly and potter around site and are there to chat to or if you need any help but not overpowering. The site is really well maintained and really relaxing to sit outside. The pitches are very spacious and we had lots of room and they are maintained to a high standard. The site was full but never seemed overcrowded busy. The playground is well maintained and respected by the children and was a great place for my daughter to meet holiday play mates( we didn’t see her much) The children also move around the site independently however none became loud. Really friendly amongst other campers and we were helped out by a man with our pump problem. This is an amazing site and we will definitely put it in our return list. Thank you Littlehampton for a lovely weekend.

Littlehampton club site

We have stayed at Littlehampton on several occasions, we have always found the site in first class condition, the staff always friendly and working hard to keep the site clean. I was surprised at the review concerning the troublesome travellers, I cant see how the club can prevent this type of persons from joining the club! But I do hope these particular people have had there membership revoked

An enjoyable stay

After reading the reviews re having gypsies staying there recently, I was a little wary of staying on this site as a solo camper. I should not have worried. The site was quiet with beautifully kept hedges etc and immaculate facilities - in fact it was very much up to the high standards of the Caravan Club. Yes, it is near a very busy road but the whole of the south coast has busy roads! So many fab places to visit within a few miles too....I have no hesitation in recommending Littlehampton site to anyone wishing to visit the West Sussex coast & hinterland.
