Pleasant and well maintained, as is customary for CMC sites. Helpful and friendly wardens. CMC taking a VERY conservative approach around COVID restrictions which I think are a bit too much, but I’m not complaining. Good wristband system for shower block entry although people occasionally forget to take their band when leaving which is annoying. 3 of 4 washing up sinks closed off and 2/3 of showers and toilets locked to enforce SD indoors. Play park closed and no Tourer Explorer either which seemed a bit OTT as both are outside and permitted generally. Shop also not really open - only for essentials (and no browsing) and no gas. I understand CMC only have safety at heart but I found it a little over-restrictive, particularly as the clientele at these sites are usually very respectful of the rules and other people. But it didn’t detract from a pleasant stay at a nice site. We were pitched close to the road and the road noise we did find quite intrusive, especially with cars with loud exhausts and loud motorbikes speeding up and down in the evenings. Trains could also be heard but they didn’t bother us as infrequent and not that loud. The level crossing near the entrance did cause delays on most journeys but not an issue. Large Morrisons and Tesco both within 5 and 10 mins drive, respectively.
With the glorious weather we spent most of our time at the beach - Littlehampton east beach was clean and pleasant although lots of seaweed. We picked a quieter spot away from the main facilities but we did use the toilets, ice cream kiosk and fish and chip shop and all were good. Good facilities and patrolled, but further east is quieter and easier to SD! Bognor beach also recommended - we picked a quieter spot away from the pier near to the (currently unused) Butlins day entrance. Do not recommend Climping beach - basically a building site with no actual building happening - owners pocketing the parking profits but don’t seem to be investing in the maintenance or improvement of the beach. Don’t mind things being rustic (and this place definitely is!) but I felt there were unnecessary hazards everywhere for my young kids and I did not feel comfortable.
Second trip Post Covid Lockdown Easing
We visit this site fairly often as we come from this area and most of our family live local to Littlehampton. Accordingly the site is important to us purely for location, although our grandchildren love the funfair and beach at Littlehampton. Other beaches at Ferring and Goring are also good and not too crowded. Prior to Covid a visit to the Bluebird Cafe on the beach at Ferring was a must, although you can now pre order takeout lunches.
Ok there is some noise but hardly intrusive.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
The wrist band system at the toilet block works OK.
Just a couple of minor niggles. Given the size of the site the waste bins at the service points need to be larger as those there quickly become full and spill over. Hand gel dispensers at the service points would be useful which were customary at the Freshwater East site visited in July this year.
Otherwise a very good site for exploring the local area.
First Post Lockdown Break
We've used Littlehampton a number of times over the past 13 years & have always found it well run. This time there were more families which is fine, but kids tearing round the toilet block on bikes, scooters & boards ignoring the 1 way distancing signs wasn't. It's not the kids fault it's the unthinking parents. I read some comments about noise but we didn't find it a problem. You're only a few miles from the A27 so there will be the odd siren & I can't see the problem with 4 trains an hour. What can be a problem is the queue of traffic in to Littlehampton whe the level crossing gates close, but if you're on holiday what's the rush.
We generally find the site very good but it would be even better if we were the only ones on it lol.
Better experience than expected
This is a convenient site with great bus connections and train connections so no need for car. Pub, supermarket and bus all with a 10 min short walk. A little longer to walk into Littlehampton (20 mins). The site was well managed, felt safe and everyone was very friendly and relaxed. We don't usually use the sites in the school holidays, but the kids were well behaved. It's a shame that their play area was closed. The wristband system when using the facilities worked well but can confuse and cause queues if people forget to collect their band after using. Worth checking inside if waiting a little too long. Overall a nice place to be and will definitely use again as there is so much to do in that area.

Many positives but ...
This is the second time we have visited this site. We love to visit Arundel - which is accessible by bus - and the harbour area in Littlehampton is lovely. In addition, there is a supermarket nearby, offer fuel too.
However, we had quite forgotten how noisy the local area is. Apart from the noise of the traffic, and occasional trains, there are fairly frequent emergency sirens. And I guess because we were on site on a Friday and Saturday night, the local pub was open. Maybe it was post-lockdown exuberance, but both voices and music could be heard quite loudly. So peaceful, this site is not.
In our experience, the site team were most welcoming and no problems with pitch selection. The wristband system at the toilet block worked well too.
Well located
We called the site on Friday at 3.15pm and managed to get a pitch for the weekend. We were on a hard standing corner pitch, great for getting on and off. We felt very safe with all the new restrictions. They were explained in great detail so we fully understood the facility system which worked so well. The wardens were extremely helpful and respectful of social distancing and masks were worn at all times.
Off site there are two pubs in walking distance, The Six Belles and The Locomotive. You have bus stops 6 min walk from the site going to Arundel, every hour and Littlehampton a little more frequent both around 10min journeys. Arundel has the castle and lots of delicious eateries and plenty of quaint shops, They had a farmers market by the river the weekend we were there. The Castle is on a hill so be warned your calves burn once you get to it.
Ford has a farm shop worth a visit.
Littlehampton is a typical seaside resort, but the harbour is lovely and Fred's fish and chips were amazing.
Shall be returning for another visit
Overall a excellent site clean and tidy. The wardens very friendly and accommodating. With the restrictions on felt safe
Very good site
Our second visit to Littlehampton site in 12 months. Super clean facilities and a very well kept and very tidy site. On both visits the wardens were very friendly and helpful. Easy access from the main road and a supermarket within 6-7 minutes walk meaning that you can go shopping without the car !
Magic site
Stayed for 4 nights, 4-7 November. Easy to find with easy access very friendly wardens. Great for exploring the local area with good transport links, bus and trains very nearby. Clean well looked after site. Only negatives, road and train noise slight irritant and proximity to railway level crossing means most journeys start with a queue but overall a good site well run. Thanks
Friendly Wardens and excellent shower block.
We hadn't pre booked and the wardens were very accommodating to our request. We had a good pitch and facilities were all well kept and shower block spotlessly clean. There is a handy Chinese takeaway that delivers "The Dragon" which do a pretty decent meal. We would definitely return. The wardens did an excellent job of keeping a very good site and we were always greeted with a smile. What more can you ask for.
