Hidden gem

Stayed here for a few days. Very friendly staff, but it was hard to find... Somewhere behind the road construction :o).

Very friendly staff

We have stayed at this site several times now, as it is a handy location to visit a number of places in the area. We stayed for 3 nights recently & the standard of cleanliness was excellent as always. The staff here are very friendly & happy to help with any questions - thank you. Our favourite place to visit is Arundel. Not only does it have a wonderful castle & cathedral, but walks by the river, Swanbourne Lake, Wetland Centre & lovely shops & tea rooms. There is ample parking for motorhomes in the main car park on the grass, or if you're lucky, you can park on the road that leads to Swanbourne Lake. The Black Rabbit is a lovely location to eat by the river. We also visited Climping Beach. At first it appeared there was no where to park, as there are height barriers to the car park, but I asked the young attendant for help, and he unlocked the barrier so we could enter. There is a small cafe & toilets there too. We will definitely stay at this site again in the future.

Nice site and staff

Stayed here whilst visiting family in the area. Considering it was school holidays it was not too busy with children. Site was busy but never any queue for facilities.

Lovely site!

We spent 2 nights here. We we’re warmly greeted by a nice lady called Tina, who checked us in and explained all we needed to know. She came along 20 mins later to check if we were settling in ok. The toilet and shower blocks are great, clean and up to date. There’s a park for the children to play which is fenced in. There are shops and pubs near by. The site is peaceful and we really relaxed and enjoyed our stay, Will definitely be going back.

Short break in West Sussex

Our third visit to this site, and as previous visits a good standard was enjoyed. Good location for visiting Chichester ,Brighton , and the D-Day exhibition at Southsea. The harbour side in Littlehampton is a nice place to sit and enjoy the views. Arundel castle is well worth a visit.

Good site, surprisingly quiet.

We had a look at Google maps before visiting last week and were a little worried about the possibility of noise from nearby roads. However we found that we weren't disturbed by any noise and enjoyed our stay. Lovely helpful wardens, quite large pitches (we were on a grass one) and clean toilet block. Plenty of showers and toilets, with showers that you could turn on and off and adjust the temperature. A credit to the Club. Only gave 4 for location because it is not in the middle of the countryside, but it is close to Littlehampton.

Nice stay

We stayed here for 6 nights Staff were so friendly and helpful , always had a smile . Toilet block immaculate . Site clean and tidy Just really enjoyed our stay . We will definately be returning If l had to be negative about anything , it would be the amount of washing lines in front of caravans when they could go behind Not everyone wants to see bedding drying !!. It spoils the outlook Overall a lovely site

Could do better

Overall a very pleasant overnight stop but a few things could have been better with a little effort When we arrived as normal we were asked to go and choose a pitch and return to the office, the site has a one way system so you can’t drive all the way round without exiting via the magnetic card controlled barriers but they don’t give you a pass to allow that so your stuck at the exit barriers. The electric points have an unusual connection where you need to twist the connection, I’m sure this may be used on other sites so if you are familiar with this system then fine but it would be useful for it to be commented on when we checked in. We asked at reception if there was a set route route to cycle to the sea avoiding the busy road and were told no just “follow your nose straight down’ in fact there is even a page on the site web page that shows a far more user friendly route. The club leaflet recommends the Six Bells however at 4 pm on Sunday it was closed there is another pub the locomotive just as close which we found to be quite acceptable

Lovely site

Our third visit and certainly not our last, it is fast becoming our go-to site for short breaks. Only criticism would be that the pitches are a little too close together and we felt a bit hemmed in with a van each side and behind with not much room between. Not a problem at quiet times however. Other than that, everything was fine - friendly staff, clean facilities, decent dog walk. As other reviewers have mentioned, I was rather confused by the refuse bins - one bin said recycling on the side but others had nothing. It is so important to recycle these days, it should be a priority on site. We had a meal (our second, first one three years ago) at the Six Bells and cannot recommend it highly enough. Dog friendly, superb food, great service from a bubbly and efficient waitress and a lovely ambience. Food is a bit expensive but it was really lovely so no complaints there. Thought the bill for the drinks was rather steep, however, and glad I kept my intake to a minimum
