Wouldn't be back here again ! Road noise is terrible ! Motorbikes & local cars with boom boxes playing, cars with big bore exhausts all waiting for the near train level crossing to open up 40ft truckers whizzing past all day and night I found it not laid out very well either ? IMHO. people walking through your pitch also people trying to fill aquaroll at your serviced pitch (took my Y peice off eventually) Asked the head warden about the weeds he said their strimmer had been broke for the last four weeks we stayed for 3 weeks in total and still hadn't been fixed or replaced The area around is quite run down. I believe this was a previously owned caravan site that the CAMC had taken over. The shower block was just OK ! they had a few ceiling tiles missing in both toilets washing machine room and disabled toilet as well. They don't sell anything on site not even milk ?
Just my point of view
Arrived at the site at a busy time and queued to get into register which meant our caravan was hanging off the pavement onto a very busy road, scary. The site was completely packed, we managed to get a very cramped pitch. The site is very small, with all the usual good facilities but we felt very claustrophobic. We paid for four nights but decided one night was enough! As we were due to go onto Rookesbury after four nights we asked the wardens if it was possible to transfer our fees to Rookesbury which fortunately had room for us. The reason for my review is not to diss the site as it was partly our fault for not doing our homework on the location which was town based, near a new housing estate, recycling centre, busy noisy road, not for us! I want to praise the wardens, Tony and Bev! Absolutely fantastic people, did all the transfers, didn’t make us feel bad about moving, understood us completely. What a wonderful team they are, thank you, thank you guys
Cramped site
Stayed here 3 nights in late June. Somehow it had a cramped feel with pitched outfits seeming close together. Very full when we were there. If you use the facilities block early in the morning there is no queue! Only problem for those without own sans is when they are cleaning there are NO toilets available at all! This is really unacceptable. Very convenient location for visiting Arundel and Littlehampton as bus stop about 300 yds away. Littlehampton town is nothing special, but if you walk along the Arun to the beach it is very pleasant. Also very good pub on the banks of the Arun on edge of town called The Arun View - good food. There is little if any noise from the trains and there is a village shop selling basics just across the level crossing. The Six Bells pub serves excellent food and is a two minute walk away.
A great “Base” Location
We always like this site as a great base to get out and about to local attractions …. it is clean and tidy with a useful dog exercise area and local taxis may quickly take a family (with dog) to the seaside for mini golf, crabbing, amusements and beach walking
Arundel Castle is well worth a long visit, as is the town, and the local Morrisons sells LPG!!! …. which is a real bonus for filling up our underfloor tank!!
I think the “men in suits” have been over zealous with the 5 max rule in the shower blocks and heaven help anyone who has a desperate need for the toilet and there is a queue!! …. when, in fact, all 5 persons allowed in may well all be in the shower at that time. Similarly … to allow only one person in to wash dishes in a four sink room is verging on the ridiculous and only a “man” could have made such a daft decision
The biggest plus in life is always the hot and unlimited showers that are spacious …. but be warned that the water is very soft and if you use too much soap you will spend ages trying to get it all off your body
Very friendly and helpful management ..,, and a hot food seller visits at weekends
Dissappointed
We have stayed on this site numerous times and were very disappointed with the facilities this time. Some of the service points were closed but the worst issue was the with the shower block. We stayed here last year, also during the covid epidemic with limited facilities. But the difference this year was that the site was fully booked, crammed full, and the facilities were woefully inadequate. The limit is 5 people in each block but the problem is that with a full site long, very long, queues form at peak times. When you finally got in for a shower they were dirty and wet, mainly caused by too few showers for far too many people. I am think that Caravan Club are treating its customers unfairly by asking them to put up with this and until the lock down finishes they should not be filling the sites to capacity.
Just a standard Club site
This is just a standard flat Club site crammed with as many pitches as spacing rules will allow. No real character, few trees, just rows of vans with some hedges separating the rows.. But, as always the wardens are welcoming, friendly and a credit to our Club.
There is a lack of service points – the main one at the central washrooms block is closed with no explanation and no sign of repairs underway. The other service points are quite a long walk from many pitches. Wi-fi was unreliable – we had frequent problems logging on, but when we contacted AirAngel (the company that provide Club WiFi), they said that only some pitches on the Littlehampton site can receive good WiFi and we were in a poor signal area on pitch 27. In the handbook the site is stated to have Gold WiFi, but it should be made clear that this is only for part of the site.
We did not use the toilets or showers at all during our visit, but could see that Covid precautions are in place as in all Club sites we have visited.
There was a constant stiff cold breeze from West / South West during the 12 days we were there, even in the lovely sunny weather in June. Few people sat outside unless they could shelter from the wind – those that did had decent windbreaks.
There is not a lot to do in the area – beaches are shingle with sand only at low tide and little protection from the wind. Arundel castle and gardens are certainly worth a visit, as are the gardens at West Dean and the Weald and Downland Museum. There are numerous excellent pubs in the area – we found the best on Trip Advisor.
There is a Morrisons supermarket 5 minutes drive away. Good priced fuel there as well.
There is also a Lidl supermarket in Littlehampton.
Relaxing break...
Had a very enjoyable 3 night stay, impressed with the cleanliness of the facilities and the general well cared for condition of the site, the wardens keep the site running smoothly....when we stayed the facilities were cleaned in the morning and spray sterilised in the afternoon , walk into the pleasant town of Littlehampton takes about 35 minutes ,be sure to visit the harbour lights cafe/bar near the Lifeboat station......as a previous reviewer mentioned avoid Brighton town centre it's filthy...spot on thank you😃

Take earplugs!
Typical CMC site needs some TLC in places. Why is is that serviced pitches always seem to be in the worst position on a site. The pitch was a bit tight and the road noise was horrendous. The caravan actually vibrated at times with the volume of traffic. The railway line on the other hand was a lot quieter. Take ear plugs otherwise you may get no sleep at all.
Littlehampton seafront and marina nice to walk along, the town itself is a bit jaded like lots of others.
Arundel lovely for an afternoon, lots of cafes and antique shops. Stunning cathedral.
Bognor Regis a decent seafront for a wander.
Avoid Brighton, it’s a dump. The streets were filthy and covered with litter. To add insult to injury we could not get any on street parking (I have a Blue Badge) and opted for a car park just off the seafront. This cost us £12.50 for just over two hours and that was parking in a disabled space!
All in all not our favourite part of the UK but each to their own.
This was the second week of our break, the first being in Somerset, Old Oaks adults only site, which in comparison was paradise, peaceful, lovely views, pitches huge and first class facilities.
