Great for newbies??

We loved our stay at this site. Our first real trip in our new caravan. Site staff were very friendly and helpful. The Bistro/bar was handy , we dined there twice. Showers and toilets were spotless and well maintained. The weather was not on our side, however the site was a brilliant base for trips to York, Harrogate and Knaresbrough. We look forward to returning.

Peaceful site

First time stayed here and won't be the last. Very helpful wardens, always available and constantly maintaining the grounds. Bathrooms clean and warm, plenty of room. Pitches are spacious and well looked after, and we were able to choose our own pitch. Lovely walk through Nidd Gorge to Knaresborough, with plenty of good tea/ coffee shops in the town centre. In short, everything good.

Lovely site

This is a lovely site, set on the outskirts of a really peaceful village and a short distance into the lovely town of Knaresborough. The site is nice and quiet even when full, which it was on our visit. The assistant wardens on our visit were smashing, nice, helpful and friendly and kept the site to the usual spotless conditions that we have come to expect over the many years we have visited here. The pitches are huge compared to some other sites. The toilet block is always clean and tidy, the underfloor heating is great as the floors always seem to be dry. I'm disabled and the facilities are equally  spotless as well and have everything you need. This is the only club site we have visited which has a bar/bistro which is an excellent facility and does a decent pint and bite to eat. There are plenty of facilities in the town itself with some fantastic walks (in my case the scooter) down by the river which is really pretty and has a couple of stops for a cuppa and a cake. Most  are dog friendly as are a lot of the pubs in town. Also, very unusual, in the information room there are telephone numbers for local taxi's the first 2 on the list I am aware that they are also dog friendly and are only £5 each way which can work out cheaper than the bus and more convenient as well. There is loads to see and do a short drive away from the site as well, so enjoy, we always do here.r

What a super site!

Lovely, peaceful site in a nice location. Definitely our first visit of many. Clean and tidy, spacious pitches, on site bistro and bar - although we didn't try it on this occasion - plenty to do in the area. All good.

First time at Knaresborough

Excelent site, clean, tidy and met all our needs. Site staff were very friendly and helpful. Our first time caravaning in this part of the country and it proved an ideal base for us to persue our hobby of geocaching. We ended up booking an extra night.

First time visit

This was our first time here at Knaresborough and we were not disappointed. We booked an extended weekend break as before the site has always been full, and we were planning to eat out in the evenings instead of cooking in the van ( for a change) But.... Have to say the site was immaculate, the wardens very friendly and helpful and we didn't have to go far to eat because the on site Bistro had an excellent choice of menu, the food was freshly cooked ( none of that microwave stuff) the plates were warm when hot food was served on them and was great value for money.Lets not forget also that the service in here was excellent! Would we go back? You bet we would ??

Fantastic Knaresborough

we have just spent seven fantastic nights at Knaresborough, the site along with the great bistro was a delight, the wardens were so friendly and helpful, the freshly cooked food and the local beers in the bistro were second to none, this site is one of the best we have stayed on and we will be back more than once, the whole site is maintained to the highest level and the toilet and shower block were so clean, its a great location to visit Yorkshire or even to venture up the North of England, give this site a visit and you will not be disappointed.
