Love this site

Visited this site for 3 days over the Spring bank holiday and ended up stopping all week. lovely site, kept very clean and tidy, great for children, in walking distance of a dog friendly beach too. the only thing I have negative on this site is the older toilet block although always kept clean could do with modernisation and a little area for dog walking wouldn't go a miss as people walk on the outside of the site and this can potentially be dangerous. Wardens VERY friendly and accommodating when we wanted to stay longer. can't wait to return

Great site spolied by some members.

Love this site for its location and the dog friendly area. Wardens are great. The only problem is with this site is some idiotic members. Recently had an enjoyable stay there and saw the following.. Some bloke who thought its was normal to fly a 3 foot long radio contolled helicopter near to members vans and cars. The machine was out of control and he was clueless. another who thought is was OK to use a water point as a car wash using he motorvan hose and time and gain members trying to arrive well before the 12 o`clock check time. Dont they realise this is because the site has a single lane access road and by arriving early they are likely to meet other members leaving creating chaos in the lanes. The poor wardens are placed in a difficult positon. I suggest they stick to the 12 o`clock rule and the word will soon get around. Worse of all members think the grass pitching area is a dog walk leaving either droppings or sticky mess. Everynight you can see them using the cover of dakness to do the business. Come in folks you are ruining a great site by being selfish.

Will be going back

A clean and well laid out site, with good size pitches (we had a hardstanding pitch) and play area with space for ball games. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The beach is a very short walk away (through the nature reserve). We biked to nearby Burnham on Sea along the beach for fish and chips, and ate out there one evening, as there isn't really anywhere local to eat out. We had a lovely time and will definately be back.

A good,efficient and convenient site

We only stayed for 2 days whilst visiting friends, but we appreciated this well cared for and efficiently managed site. It would be ideal for young families wishing to visit the sea, allowing access to unspoilt beaches and yet being conveniently placed for nearby centres offering entertainment.  The wardens are welcoming and hardworking, caring well for this extensive venue. We will definitely put Hurn Lane on our list for future consideration when we travel that way.

Lovely break

We stayed at this site 25/7/2015-01/08/2015 had a very nice welcome from the female warden and had an amazing weeks stay. As we have stayed at the site before we knew the layout and where we would like to pitch our tourer there was plenty of space to pick from , we pitched near the park area as we have two children ourselves this was great for them to come and go as they wished must say the level of noise from the park was tolerable ( children like to play and make a noise when they are in open spaces, it was lovely to see so many of them make new and meet old friends). The site is very well maintained and close to many different attractions which makes a very good base. We would recommend this site and we hope to return again soon.

Not bad

Good location for beaches and other towns.the only thing I would say is that we asked for a hard standing for our camper so we could use our awing that has a sewn in ground sheet,to not cause problems to the grass to be told if no hard standings were available to either cut the bottom off our awing or go home as this would kill the grass,we were only staying 2 nights and £500 for awing, had last hard standing so it was ok.

Fantastic wardens

We recently stayed at this site and one of our dogs became really poorly, one of the wardens saw that our dog was unwell and straight away gave us her dog pushchair to use enabling us to leave the site. On the second night our dog became extremely poorly and we had to take her to the emergency vet another lady warden came to our caravan and could see we were really upset, she wrapped our dog in a blanket and organised us getting off to the vets safely. What a wonderful experience in such difficult circumstances. After we left the site the first warden rang to check that we was ok. Thank you so so much to the fantastic wardens. The site was perfect with fantastic facilities.

TOILETS /SHOWERS NOT CLEANED VERY WELL. PLAY AREA SHOULD NOT BE STUCK AWAY IN A CORNER WHERE YOU CANNOT VIEW AS IT'S PRESENTLY NEAR THE DYKE AND OBSCURED. FINALLY WHAT DOG WALK?? NEITHER ON-SITE OR NEARBY ?? CLOSEST PLACE TO TAKE YOUR DOG (AND PRAY YOU DON'T GET HIT BY TRAFFIC ) IS THE TWISTY BENDY SINGLE LANE AT THE ENTRANCE. FINALLY COULD DO WITH MAP OR  SIGNS TO TELL YOU WHICH WAY TO WALK TO THE BEACH -15mins walk along same single road is conservative if you haven't been before.
