Fantastic site

We have been here each year for the last 4 years it is a lovely site in a fantastic position near the beach with friendly wardens. The facilities are excellent, very clean with hand cream provided in the toilets.. a lovely touch the shop is well stocked too. Cheddar gorge is a wonderful place to visit and is not too far away.

A lovely site. Very friendly.

We arrived at the site after a traumatic experience at another site (not caravan club). The Wardens were so friendly, helpful and welcoming. Please pass on our thanks to all of them. The site itself is maintained beautifully. A good experience. Doggy friendly. Many thanks.

Chillout

Hi we stayed here in July 15 and used a sat nav to arrive, took us down the wrong side of Hurn lane as it's very tight for caravans especially when you get oncoming vehicles. The site is clean and the wardens are friendly. It was windy when we were there so didn't put the awning up as other people had to use less of tie down straps. We were by the park as we had a little one that was where it was out of the wind but downside was the site next to us was some noise of traffic late at night not sure why. Overall not a bad site to stay on plenty to do for the kids.

Had a fantastic stay at this site, very clean and tidy with everything you would need. This was our first ever touring adventure Grandkids had a great time, but best of all the wardens were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble Would defiantly go again in fact we are going to book for next year

Nice site

We booked the site on an off chance after a weeks holiday in Devon, on arrival we came though the barrier instead of waiting in the marked bay I apologised for this but felt the male warden was quite sarcastic in showing me the size of the info board, the lady that booked me in was very nice but I explained that I had my old membership card on me that ran out end jun but did not have the new card on me as we booked on the off chance, she reminded me 4 times to carry it with me at all times, also make sure we drove slowly around the site 3 times which I advised her the first time we always do. Dog walk or as we found out no dog walk - when we asked about a dog walk we were told that they did not want dogs walked around site they would have to be taken out on the road which I must add was not suitable for walking dogs, however they did have a dog wash on site?  I would like to know if this rule was set by the site or the wardens. I have heard of members complaining about certain sites and wardens but until visiting this site I had not experienced it. Very unlikely we will visit again which is a shame because it's a very nice site but found the male warden very sarcastic even when speaking to my nephew.

Comment from The Club:

Many thanks for leaving a review. The wardens have been in touch as they would like to address the concerns you have raised. Firstly, The Caravan Club asks wardens to always check membership cards when members arrive on Site. If they are out of date the wardens ask if the member can please bring their new membership cards with them next time as we need to ensure visitors still have valid membership in order to be able to stay on the site, or in the case of sites that accept non-members, receive the £10 a night reduction in site fees.

Also please be aware there is not a dog walk on site so members are asked to walk their dogs off site and not around the site, as per all Club Sites that don’t have dog walks. Please note however, that there is a dog friendly beach within a 15 minute walk. Directions are given to members who enquire and information on walks can also be found in the information room on site.

I hope this helps explain and addresses your concerns. Thanks again for leaving a review.

Good stop Over

This is a lovely site whether for a short break or a longer stay. It is ideally situated for a stop over on the way to the West Country, being not far off the M5 Motorway. The staff are really friendly and extremley helpful.

WI FI and Dog Walkless!!!!

Nice clean and friendly site as would be expected of a CC site. Feel ripped off regarding Wi Fi as never managed to get on in the evenings. Never felt ripped off by the CC before! My wife had an even worse experience with her I Pad she could not get on at all.Regarding the Dog Walk !! we never found it!! Where we we expected to take our dog was on a very norrow lane, one car wide with free flowing traffic and no footpath. Even the dog was scared!!!

Summer holiday

Good week away at this site – excellent site for young children as the play area is very good. We enjoyed the cycle rides that are available from the site well worth taking your bikes as the sea and beech are only 5 mins away. This site is also very good for seeing the wider area we partially enjoyed our day out at Cheddar Gorge. We will be going back to this site. The only downside is mobile phone signal was very intermittent and we could not get on the wifi.

Not just a stop-over site.

We did just that, stopped on our way back from Cornwall, but we will visit it again definately. The beach is only a 15 minute stroll away and the bus into Weston Supermare is even less. The facilities are a 5 out of 5 (in my Trap Advisor, servey), and the wardens are as friendly and helpfull as ever. Great site, "i'll be back!"
