Wonderful site

We stayed here for our very 1st camping trip. We are a family of 4 with 2 under 5's. We only stayed for 2 nights but loved it! The staff were so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back next year. The site had a lovely little separate bathroom for the toddlers, the showers were clean and tidy, the grounds and pitches were immaculate, laundry room had everything you need, (although could do with a powered dispenser as I was up at 7.30 washing and shop hadn't opened)  All in all wonderful!

Not best site for dog owners

Very clean nicely laid out site. Toilet block needs a refurb, but wardens keep them spotless. No dog walk and no pavements on single track road to beach which is a good 15 min walk and quite dangerous. Site is surrounded by static caravan sites and a large children's play area behind site is quite noisy with children kicking footballs from 8.00 am!!

Pleasant Open Site

Nice open site, good clean facilities, friendly helpful wardens. Access is via quite a narrow road and then a short single track lane with a couple of passing places, so care needed. When we were there, there was some noise from the nearby pleasure park, but this always stopped at a reasonable hour. Large sandy beach within walking distance, big caravan dealers at Highbridge (about 5 miles) if you need any spares, Burnham itself has a selection of eateries and shops and a lively events calendar. The club wifi on this site seemed woefully inadequate, either from insufficient capacity, or over use by members (maybe because the phone signal is not perfect) The only other slight complaint about the site itself was it could do with better marking of the one way system as this was often ignored by some while we were there, and the age old plea for drivers to stick to 5mph on site.

Nice site

We stayed at Hurn lane 27 July to 05 August. The site entrance and all the pitches have good access. We had a hard standing for our stay which we like so all was good. Plenty to do in the area and very close to the sandy beach you can even park your car on it good if you have an ageing dog like us who can't walk far. The site is very well kept and the wardens are very nice. The facilities are well kept but I think the shower block on the grass pitch area is due a refit as it seemed a little on the tired side. Having said that good site, nice area, weather not too bad what more do you need we will call again with out doubt.

Great holiday

One of the largest sites we have been on but, well laid out & quiet. Spotlessly clean and friendly staff. Very close to the beach just a 15 minute walk and a short drive to Burnham & Weston.

A brief stay at Hurn Lane

We stayed one night at Hurn Lane as a stop over to visit friends in Weston-Super-Mare whilst on route to Trewethett near Tintagel. The site was busy but the layout actually belied the fact of how many caravanners were there. We were on the grass field and found it very peaceful and by comparison to surrounding sites very spacious. The beach is not too far from the site (a short walk down the lane and through the dunes) and is very expansive. We will definitely be visiting again and will routinely use to break up our journey to Cornwall. Would certainly recommend it to others.

Hurn lane

We enjoyed our 3 nights at Hurn Lane and cannot think of any faults. It was clean and the warden was very friendly which to be honest is not always the case with caravan club sites. Just missing a dog walk. Easy access to Cheddar Gorge and other attractions.

Sudden change of bookin

We were due at Cheddar C c Site but were diverted here as Cheddar was flooded. Full marks to the Cheddar warden who phoned us and organised our diversion. Warden on arrival reeled off instructions like doing her times table. A common failing after 45 years membership. Warned site could be noisy but really found no problems. ULoos ok. Not very dog friendly as no onsite walk save in the approach lane which was single track and needed great care. As dog owners the only beach for dogs was the NT site at the far end of the beach. TV and Wi-Fi where we were sited was poor. The latter especially as we have a years contract for each of us. A site only chosen because of circumstances.

Good for a seaside break away on the North Somerset Coast

We had a good weekend break here - clean facilities, nice site and friendly, welcoming warden. The site is surrounded by static caravan parks, so if you pitch on the perimeter they are your neighbours. The warden advised us on the quietest part of the site to stay on and this was perfect. The children's play area is next to the noisier neighbouring static caravan park play area. 5 minutes walk down the lane takes you across the sand dune nature reserve onto the stunning Berrow/Brean beach. It's not a bathing beach, but great for a bracing walk. Making this walk along the beach and we were 40 minutes walk from Brean Leisure Park and all it's rides/amusements. Walk along the coast road pavement back and it was only about 25 minutes. Lots to do in the area, and as locals to North Somerset we'd happily return here for a weekend break on the coast, or longer if you're making the journey to explore. If you're visiting in September, don't miss Banksy's Dismaland at Weston-Super-Mare!
