Short relaxing stay

We arrived on the Friday, later than we would normally arrive, check in was quick and efficient as usual, the warden did explain that the older toilet block would be closed as from Monday, never a problem, we have been coming here for the last 10 years, and yes it does need a makeover. All the grass pitches were well maintained and clean, as its fairly close to us, its close to the beach, where the dogs can run till they drop, the new dog walk on site is small, but okay for late at night or early in the morning, overall another great weekend

Oh dear

Stayed for seven nights in September ,always enjoy staying at Hurn lane but this time had to stay on the second site and must say that the toilet block was certainly below standard and needs updating, the showers were cold the water flow was low ,no doors on privacy cubicles and just uninviting

Tired !

Just returned from a 4 night break and found the wardens all very cheerful and helpful and keeping the site itself in excellent order and condition. But as mentioned previously the facilities in both blocks are probably the worst I have seen within the Caravan Club. There is mould on the roof tiles and around the wall tiles, broken floor tiles and quite a lot of hooks missing. All in all, I would not return to this site unless they had been upgraded. I am quite forgiving of old fashioned facilities, but not in this state. Sort it CC!

Berrow site

We stayed for 3 nights at the site and were impressed by the layout of the site which although surrounded by countless other caravan sites is private and generally quiet. my husband has difficulty walking any distance and he did find the walk down to the beach rather long (about 15-20 mins) and there is a steep charge for parking on the beach. However we found a National Trust car park by the beach up the road at Bream (on our last day ) which is ideal if you are a member. Although there is not a large dog walk they have provided a small space near to the playground to allow your four footed friends a chance for a quick walk ideal for 1st thing in the morning. other sites please copy. I agree the facilities are looking a bit "tired" as the season comes to an end there was mould in the corners in the shower block and various things needed repairing and I felt one of the wardens was also ready for the season to end but all the rest were very friendly and helpful. A very pleasant stay!!

Nice site

Site is further from M5 than we had thought. Once there however we were happy with the site. Wardens helpful, facilities clean, site beautifully kept. Wifi unreliable, we have paid for a year's access so disappointing.

Very Convenient

Extra stop on our way down to Cornwall due to breaking our power socket before we left home! Been on this site at least 3 times but didn't realise there is such an amazing Caravan and Motorhome Agent just down the road at Highbridge who sorted us out.  This site is fantastic for the location even though it is surrounded by other static sites.  The beach is just a short walk away.  Site is spotless as are the loos. The only concern is the approach road.

Another successful Visit

We have just returned from another visit to Hurn Lane. It is a great site for us as the dog particularly likes the beach, and only being a 10 minute walk is great. The only criticism that we have is that the toilet and shower block although very clean and tidy is looking tired and in need of some updating and repair. In the men’s facilities there was at least one hook missing in every one of the showers, a toilet seat was missing and 1 toilet was blocked. Notwithstanding we will no doubt return again before the season ends

Consistently good

Yet another trip to this site, this time for an eight day stay. Always clean and well maintained. Lots to do in the area. Great walks.  My only gripe is the appalling wifi reception. I'm self employed and always need internet access for my business. It was so bad this time, that I ended up having to pay out for additional mobile data from my phone provider. Please do something about this - if it doesn't work, don't offer it! When my current annual subscription expires, it's very unlikely that I'll pay for another year.

HURN LANE

We arrived late due to m5 closure and getting lost in the local area , on our very first caravan adventure. The Warden was still on duty to let us in and show us to our pitch and give us a quick breifing on the site, after a phone call to check where we were and then giving us directions during another call from us. All in all very professional , clean and well maintaiined site. my only constructive coments are the dog walk is a bit small although adeqaute for toiletting. and the site could be sign posted better from the gate and the main road. otherwise 6 out of 6

Good site

We used Hurn Lane site over night on the way to and back from the clubs Putts Corner site at Sidmouth . We use Hurn Lane as we find the wardens very helpful, as they were this visit. The site has easy access and the hard standing pitches are large and don't seem on top of one another. The shower facilities by the hard standing pitches are looking a little dated now and could do with being refurbished in the very near future. Having said that they were clean and working so no real complaints. We find this site very pleasant and easy to use and will always use it on our trips as an over night stop and as one of our holiday destinations.
