nice little site

We stopped here for a Friday and Saturdy on our way further South. The facilities block was lovely and clean, like the whole site in fact, and the pitch was nicely maintained and a good size. We were adjacent the statics behind the site from which there was some noise early on the Saturday night but this quietened down at a reasonable time. As others have said it's not far to beach which is great for the dogs, unlike the tiny dog walk on site. The pub along the coast road to the North was also dog friendly and the food was ok. Glastonbury and Clarks Village were an easy drive away which we visited, but so too were Wookey Hole and Cheddar Gorge, so a revisit will be required as we found it a nice little site - just follow the instructions in the book as satnavs take you via the coast road and the lane at that end is very narrow, as we found when walking the dogs!

Great site

Excellent open, sunny, peaceful site, easy access, large hard standing pitch, immaculately kept grounds. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The facilities block is exceptionally clean, it may be rather dated but the showers have a temperature control, good flow and best of all no dreaded push button, (let's hope the planned new ones are the same). Good easily accessed motorhome service point. The beach is about a 15 minute walk, as is a large pleasure park which has a Sunday market, and a small supermarket opposite. There is a bus stop 5 minutes walk away on the main road to Burnham and Weston, though the service can be a bit erratic. Would certainly use this site again.

Very Nice

Lovely, clean site. Toilet blocks were spotless and the wardens and staff very helpful. A little out of the way but that didn't spoil it. Would we go again "yes without hesitation"

Such a nice surprise!!

Firstly, this site was beautifully kept by very friendly and helpful wardens. Congratulations to them because not all caravaners leave the facilities in a clean condition but what was impressive was that the warden did extra checks to make sure all was well. Ā The site was a lovely surprise, attractive. A little aircraft noise but not anything to put you off. Facilities a little dated but as I said kept very clean. Ā We would not hesitate to recommend and would stay again. Ā Wifi signal is not good, don't know why it is classed as a gold' standard site, perhaps this needs reassessing?

pleasant and relaxing

Needs a bit of a make over with the toilet/bathroom facilities however pitch sizes are generous and well kept. Have been here a couple of times and will keep on coming. The dog walk is not ideal for exercising and though there is the dog friendly beach and Dune's area a short stroll away, the road has no pavements so you have to keep your wits about you as its a bit hectic during the busy times of the day

Short relaxing stay

We arrived on the Friday, later than we would normally arrive, check in was quick and efficient as usual, the warden did explain that the older toilet block would be closed as from Monday, never a problem, we have been coming here for the last 10 years, and yes it does need a makeover. All the grass pitches were well maintained and clean, as its fairly close to us, its close to the beach, where the dogs can run till they drop, the new dog walk on site is small, but okay for late at night or early in the morning, overall another great weekend

Oh dear

Stayed for seven nights in September ,always enjoy staying at Hurn lane but this time had to stay on the second site and must say that the toilet block was certainly below standard and needs updating, the showers were cold the water flow was low ,no doors on privacy cubicles and just uninvitingĀ

Tired !

Just returned from a 4 night break and found the wardens all very cheerful and helpful and keeping the site itself in excellent order and condition. But as mentioned previously the facilities in both blocks are probably the worst I have seen within the Caravan Club. There is mould on the roof tiles and around the wall tiles, broken floor tiles and quite a lot of hooks missing. All in all, I would not return to this site unless they had been upgraded. I am quite forgiving of old fashioned facilities, but not in this state. Sort it CC!

Berrow site

We stayed for 3 nights at the site and were impressed by the layout of the site which although surrounded by countless other caravan sites is private and generally quiet. my husband has difficulty walking any distance and he did find the walk down to the beach rather long (about 15-20 mins) and there is a steep charge for parking on the beach. However we found a National Trust car park by the beach up the road at Bream (on our last day ) which is ideal if you are a member. Although there is not a large dog walk they have provided a small space near to the playground to allow your four footed friends a chance for a quick walk ideal for 1st thing in the morning. other sites please copy. I agree the facilities are looking a bit "tired" as the season comes to an end there was mould in the corners in the shower block and various things needed repairing and I felt one of the wardens was also ready for the season to end but all the rest were very friendly and helpful. A very pleasant stay!!
