Great site

Excellent site with loads of stuff to do nearby for the whole family. Staff were always working hard to maintain good standards of facilities. Extremely helpful and the site was within reach of Brean, Burnham and Weston.

Visited this site in mid August

On arrival booked into the office did not feel welcome by the lady in the office, but apart from that the site was well maintained toilets were clean and well maintained, but must be due a refit starting to show there age. This is a large site but does not feel that way due to the layout the approach road is narrow but no problem if taken slowly.

very disappointed with the 'dog walk' area.

Recently visited this site with our children 10 & 8 plus two dogs. Initially greeted with a stern welcome from the lady at reception because we had entered the park without a barrier code, which was very off putting for a start(not our fault the barrier was open!) we did have a choice of hardstanding pitches that were of good size. very disappointed by the dog walking area, not much larger than a courtyard....having to cue up outside the gate to wait a turn as two dogs using the area safely at one time is ample. Children's small enclosed park area and separate ball play area on safety flooring (in need of repair in park).  dog walk was very dark in the evenings - no lighting, remember to take a torch. i would not recommend walking dogs and especially children to the beach from the site as the lane is very busy/ narrow single track and dangerous as no footpath BEWARE.

Short break to see family

We stayed here for 3 nights on the was to the Dorset Coast and to see family nearby. The site was immaculate, the facilities looked after very well by the wardens. The play area was good for older children but too advanced for our 4 year old, he couldn't use the equipment but enjoyed the ball area. There is a small dog area which is fenced in. The beach is within easy walking distance but the wind on our visit was so strong we were sand blasted and couldn't stay! Burnham On Sea is close by but was looking a little tired since our last visit 6 years ago and dogs were not allowed on the beach. When we arrived it had been raining for 4 days, and our first day was gloomy, so when the sun came out I was very happy and pulled out my chair to sit at the front of my pitch. This was unexpectedly spoilt by a warden wanting to mow my pitch who did the line of empty pitches then pulled up in front of me on a very loud mower. I think he expected me to move but I was so annoyed I stayed in my chair. A civil 'excuse me' would have been fine but I had been waiting weeks for a break from work and a bit of sun and have never ever experienced having to clear my pitch to be mowed.

Good site, but poor WiFi

Stayed here for 3 nights in August. Site is quite nice, quite and clean. Good play-area for children. Grocery store is 15 minutes away by foot, beach is 10 minutes. WiFi is available, but with very very poor quality, so you are paying the money for the WiFi is useless in my opinion.

Peaceful Site

I Stayed at at hurn Lane caravan club site Middle of august 16. with my husband & granddaughter 3 dogs very peaceful and very clean and tidy site well done too all members of hurn lane staff. Dog walk could have been a bit bigger and not so close to the children's play area as the ball games hitting the cage does make some dogs nervous. hoping to return October for a few weeks.

Perfect stop over to Cornwall

Having only just joined the CC, this was our first night at a CC site to break up the journey from North Essex to Cornwall. The directions were spot on and the arrival was welcoming. We picked a grass pitch and the kids were able to enjoy the PA nearby.  I will definitely be visiting again in the future and will also use next time we travel to the South West.  Perfect peaceful park. The wardens should be proud.

pretty, peaceful site

easy to find following sat nav instructions, staff very welcoming and helpful in choosing a pitch. There are hardstanding and grass pitches. We chose a grass pitch as they seemed a little more private and had more space around them. The site is very pretty, peaceful and well maintained. The wardens were always working keeping it clean and tidy. There are 2 shower/toilet blocks which were warm, clean and modern. It is a 15 minute walk to the beach down the lane and through sand dunes, a pleasant walk. You do need the car to get to other facilities such as shops, pub, restaurant. Would definitely stay here again as a great base for Somerset's attractions.
