Fantastic place to stay! We arrived on Sunday 5th August and unfortunately had a problem with our caravan. The staff went above any beyond to help us! They work extremely hard to ensure the site and facilities are spotless, we will definitely be returning. Thank you to all the staff!
Stayed here 2 nights in July in very hot weather. Good sized pitches and well dressed and level. A very open site so no opportunity for shade from the sun.
Very friendly wardens. Pretty site entrance with colourful flower tubs.
Club directions easy to follow.
Good facilities, hot showers and 2 motor home waste points which is a plus!.
Site itself was peaceful but on occasions you could hear music from neighbouring holiday parks.
Bus stop is a 5 minute walk down a single track lane. Burnham on Sea Esplanade £5.70 return. Typical seaside town - eateries, souvenir shops, small pier and amusement arcades.
The disappointment was the dog park. This is a small strip of grass only which surrounds a netball/basketball pitch and a children's play area - neither of which were used at all for the duration of our stay. With so many Club members having pets, it would be better to remove at least the netball pitch and increase the size of the dog walk/park.
Travelling from Redruth to Carsington Water is 330 miles and we chose this site to break our journey. It's a nicely kept site with pleasant staff. We chose a neatly trimmed grass pitch which was level
We only hooked up to the electrics and used some bottled water for a quick getaway.
The site was easy to find and is only about 15 minutes from the M5. We were fortunate to be there on the 23 of June which was fish and chip night. Your order was delivered to site. There is little in the way of a dog walk but found a walk down the lane was safe enough and a dog bin was provided by the barrier.
I would visit this site again.
Couldn't believe all the facilities on my first ever proper CL Site. The showers were excellent and clean. Could have done with a local map to let you know were off site dog walks were.
Stayed for a week . Site was spotless and showers were immaculate . OK the dog run is very small but 10 to 15 mins away there is an endless beach which there are no dog restrictions so it is fine for a quick visit as required. Would definitely stay again. Staff were most helpful. Play area on site but we don't have kids so can't comment . A bit out of the way for shops and pubs so you need transport .Well done to all the staff
Stay at this site regularly for both long and short stays for its location to visit the surrounding area. We keep coming back here as the facilities on site are excellent, kept clean and tidy by the friendly team of wardens who even arrange to order in fish and chips on set evenings.
Wash blocks are well maintained and on our last visit had music plumbed in as well adding to the relaxed feeling on site. Looking forward to our next visit.
We just used this as a stop off en route to the West Country on a bank holiday weekend. About 10 mins from M5. Wouldn't choose to stay here for any length of time as it's not in an area we want to visit. Agree with previous reviewer about the tiny dog walk - not worth having but the lane outside the site was narrow and quite busy too so not ideal for dog owners. There was a lot of noise from surrounding static home sites too but thankfully it quietened down by 11pm. Nice to get a call from the warden while we were driving down to let us know it was fine to ring the bell as we would be arriving between 7 - 8 pm.
Stayed here during half term, site not full, no car park for visitors, walked to Brean Down and along headland, cycled to Weston-Super-Mare which is flat, mainly off road and approx 6 miles, visited Street and Taunton and had good walk along beach from Berrow to Burnham
If you pitch near play area, you may experience noise from neighbouring sites
Lovely site in a great location. Nice and quiet if you avoid the holidays too. Design of site means even if full it doesn't seem crowded. Only two complaints. The wi fi was awful and secondly the so called dog walk on site. It isn't a dog walk. It's a dog path squeezed between a large, well equipped children's play area and five grass pitches. I know there is the lane outside the site and the beach a few minutes away but if a dog walk on site is provided it should be of use. This isn't. It seems the club can spend a fortune on play areas but won't sacrifice five pitches for the sake of the many dog owners who stay. Very poor indeed.
Stayed here just tonights. Very impressed with the site and its facilities. Beach close by is great for families and dog friendly too. Will be returning again.
