Our very first club site visit was to Hurn Lane on the bank holiday weekend.. the site was great! Very clean and the Facilities block looked like it had literally been built the day before.. absolutely top notch site with friendly staff and well stocked shop.. will be back again one day i hope..
A great week
We have just returned from a great week at this site. Friendly wardens and very helpful great pitches are. This site we cannot fault anything will definitely be going back .
Change of plan....
We were due to go to Hillhead in Devon but it snowed hard in Devon on the Sunday we were due to leave so we had to change our plans & decided on a short trip down to Brean for the week. Great site, quiet location & easy to get to. Superbly looked after by the excellent Wardens. Great shower block & a fantastic new one due to open as we left. Lots to do locally from Beach at Burnham, Berrow & Brean, walking in Brean Down, pubs and a couple of nice eateries in bustling Burnham & WSM not far away, the Quantock close too, so a great location for visiting North Somerset.
My only complaint is the tiny Dog Walk (aka Dog Toilet) it’s so small it’s not worth having & that leads to a bigger issue - dog owners including myself then walk their pets around the site & we experienced animals relieving themselves anywhere & everywhere which would be less likely to happen if there was a decent dog walk. I think this should be a real priority for the C&MHC management. Sacrificing 4 or 5 grass pitches in the overflow part of the site could solve this and not cause too much disruption.
Otherwise it’s a great site, as well looked after as any I have been on, thoroughly recommended.
Well Kept Site
We stayed here last summer for one night as a stopover before heading down to South Devon.
The site can't be faulted. Friendly wardens and the site is immaculate.
Lovely site
Excellent site, very welcoming, clean facilities and helpful pleasant staff.
My only grumble and it's NOT in any way a blame on the site owners or staff but with the minority of dog owners who didn't clean up their dogs waste.. As a responsible dog owner myself I find this very annoying and on one walk from pitch to exit I collected four lots of dog waste from other people's dogs. Huge irresponsibility from some dog owners. Grumble over. Excellent site, great location. Peaceful (October). Nice short walk to beach.
A great stay at Hurn Lane
We had a lovely stay at Hurn Lane. What a lovely site and so well kept. It was so peaceful as it was near the end of the season and we had a lovely walk from site to the beach. It was interesting to see the carnival which I had read about in the past. Thank you for a lovely stay and we will be back.

Nice and quite site
This site was a nice and quite site very clean and well looked after ou only observation is that the toilet block is a little tired , but we would stay here again ! 👍
Clean and Tidy
We took the grandchildren with us to this site and had a lovely relaxing few days away. Staff friendly as always and go above and beyond. Site and facilities immaculate. Within walking distance of a bus stop and not far to the facilities at Brean for the grandchildren. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return

fabulous family and dog friendly site
We usually go sailing past Burnham on Sea on our way from the Midlands to Godrevy in Cornwall but this time due to the road works on the M5 junction 2 we decided to set off later and stop somewhere. Hurn Lane looked just the ticket as it was about half way. It was far nicer than we thought it would be being so close to Weston Super Mare. The staff were friendly, the site nicely laid out with a small dog loo area which was kept spotless by everyone with dogs. The beach - WHAT A BEACH. It was AMAZING. Not far to walk from the site and easy to get to. The views to Wales and Devon were not what we were expecting at all and the miles and miles of firm sand. Even cars and motorhomes can drive on it!!! We were gobsmacked and weve been on a lot of beaches all over the country and most of them have been beautiful.
Really liked this site. Up to the usual standard of Caravan Club and in such a nice quiet spot. Maybe in summer it wouldn't be quite so quiet as there are lots of static vans surrounding the site, but mid week October it was wonderful and it is somewhere we will visit again and again

Hurn Lane Last Minuet Booking
We tried to book a last minute break in Mid October intending to stay at the Caravan and Motor Home Club sites at Cheddar or Chew valley only to discover they were fully booked. Looking at the availability on the website we decided to try the Hurn Lane site outside of Burnham on Sea. It turned out to be a reasonable choice.
If you like a site with views this is not perhaps the site you would choose, however as a base for the exploring the surrounding area or walking miles along an open beach with the dogs it is an excellent choice. A well laid out and spotlessly clean site, it has 82 well positioned hardstanding pitches with electricity points, including a number of fully serviced pitches available for longer stays. For people who prefer grass pitches there are a number available but at this time of year hardstanding is the only sensible choice in my view.
The sanitary blocks are very good, good showers with individual cubicles for washing and shaving. The chemical waste disposal point generous in size and well thought out, with pull flush, hose pipe, and a well-positioned container to place your screw cap.
(I only wish every site had a container to put the cap in while emptying the chemical toilet as I always have an irrational fear I will knock the cap off the side of the disposal point, only to see it disappear down the drain)
The site has friendly dedicated staff who take pride in their work, providing us with an immaculately kept site, they also provide a small shop for essentials, such as milk, bread, newspapers etc and If you need a wider range a quick trip down the road finds a well-stocked co-op to meet your needs.
A short walk down the lane and across the main road, brings you to the dunes and a path to the beach. Dog friendly, and miles of empty sand (when the tides out) you can turn left and walk along the sand to Burnham on Sea (3 Miles). The sea here is part of the Severn Estuary and experiences very strong tides so the sea always looks a dirty brown muddy colour (definitely not Mediterranean). However, you can enjoy bracing sea air, open views across to the Hinckley Point nuclear power station and the coast stretching away in the distance to Minehead, Linton, and Ilfracombe.
