This was our first weekend spent at a members only site. Well kept, very friendly staff, it was a gem of seclusion. The only small downside was the extremely small size of the dog walking area.
Yes, I would recommend this site and look forward to the time we can return.
Just spent four nights here nice quiet site everything up to usual club standards, friendly and helpful wardens, would use again but probably not in peak season due to its location near the sea.
One thing to add for visitors coming for first visit is make sure to follow club directions into site and enter from Hurn Lane from Red Road end as although single track is nothing to worry about, but is more difficult from the other way.
We arrived in high winds and rain in September, even managed to be there for the first Storm of the year, but it made no difference. The site is quiet, clean, friendly staff and we had a relaxing time. We visited the local area and even made it to Bristol one day. Showers and toilets always available. We were on a service pitch and the toilet block i think is quite new just there. Dog walk is handy, although my 2 Cockerpoos managed to escape through a gap in the hedge. Meant they had to stay on the lead and not have a bit of a run around.
Couldn't fault the site but don't think we will be back as the area just wasn't our cup of tea!

On one of new full service pitches for a weekend break. Disappointed near toilet block not open, we were hoping to check it out as it has been refurbished. Why?
We used Hurn Lane as a stop over for 3 nights on our way to Devon, the staff were friendly and very helpful and the site was upto the usual club standards. We would certainly use the site again but only as a stop over, there was some noise from the adjacent holiday site next door but it was not a problem
We chose this site as a stop off point between Cornwall and the north west as it was close to the motorway. The usual expected standards for a CC site, well maintained areas, safe security but previous comments mention the toilet block looking tired, personally we found them to be clean with hot showers, so that's all you need. Welcoming staff on arrival with a small shop for the basic essentials. We didn't use the dog walk area as the beach was so close. This was a fantastic 6 mile dog friendly beach within walking distance of the site and with very few people on it. The route in was along Red Road, this is a country road but its ok with passing points, a real gem of a site, quiet and relaxing, so perfectly ideal for breaking up a long journey.
One overnight stay only in September 2017 and only briefly on the site. However, I was very impressed with the site and would certainly stay again. Very neat and well maintained. Convenient for the M5. Make sure you follow directions in the members guide, sat nav may take you down narrow lanes.
Excellent blackberries on the path to the beach!
(Have rated four stars for families as I had to fill in this field but in truth, I wasn't looking out for this facility and as such, I don't know.)
I have been to this site on 2 occasions and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this site. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. This site makes a great base for exploring the area and we done just that even going to Cardiff.
The only problem I have with the site is the same one I have with all sites and that is parents allowing their children to speed around on their bikes going "against" the traffic. parents for some reason seem to think that once on a club site children are safe from being injured by cars.
