Not paying for a serviced pitch again here

We stayed here for four nights in early May. I booked a serviced pitch in January and duly arrived on the booked date at just after 12 noon. I was dismayed to find there was only one pitch left on the serviced part and this was next to the exit barrier. Surely when you pay £27.50 a night for a serviced pitch you expect something better. It was noisy particularly early in the morning with people heading for the Channel ferry. A person was also using our pitch as a short cut to the toilet block and worst of all if I put up an awning it would be right next to the service road and barrier. Who wants to sit in their awning looking at a barrier? We went to France recently to the CAMC recommended Chateau du Poinsouze and paid £14 per night with the biggest pitch we have ever had next to a lovely lake and very quiet too. I'm afraid we live in rip off Britain and nobody cares. Caravan and now Motorhome club, we deserve better.

First time stay but it won't be the last.

We chose hunters moon for our first trip to Dorset because of its location and the great reviews we read on this site. We were not disappointed, everything about the site was excellent and even exceeded our expectations. We are new campervan owners and this was only our second trip. The staff were so helpful and friendly and gave us helpful advice on a few occasions, with good humour when we weren't sure what we were doing! We loved the site and loved Dorset, there is so much to see and do, we didn't get to see half of it. We will definitely be back. Can't wait.

Hunters visit Hunters Moon - 30/4-4/6/2017

A beautiful place in an ideal location for us. The site was easy to find and reception was painless. We were invited to look around and pick our site which was quickly done as we selected the second free site we saw. Facilities were always clean and tidy as was the site. It wasn't too busy even though it was half term and the noise level was not as loud as we thought it could be. Our son and his two children came to visit overnight and they enjoyed themselves at Studland the next day before heading off home. Nipped into reception to sort out the bill for them without any problem. Main reason for using this site was the area we wished to visit. we managed Corfe Castle, Weymouth, Studland and Swanage. We also went to Abbotsbury had a walk around the area, what a beautiful village. Will definitely go back and visit other parts we missed out this time.

great all round site,but !!

Lovely site and up to usual club standards.Great for dog walking and visiting local National Trust properties. All though the site was busy it did not feel crowded. The only problem that I found was that the static van site next door had dogs barking continuously from about midnight until three o`clock in the morning. Also the person next to us decided to pack up about six in the morning. Nothing to do with the club but just takes the edge off what would otherwise have been a lovely few days.

Excellent site in so many ways

We've just returned from a great week's holiday at Hunter's Moon. It is a lovely site - very well managed and with a super atmosphere. The wardens were always friendly and obviously hard working. We had a hard standing pitch which like all the others, was spacious and comfortable. There is also a section with grass pitches which was also very appealing. The play area was always popular with our children, as was the play field which has been attractively landscaped to provide a small football pitch and 'pitch and putt' amidst the wild grass areas and paths. There is a gate at the back of the site to take you onto the Wareham Way. You can walk into Wareham from here (3.5 miles) although some parts are narrow and could be muddy if the weather is wet. We found it better to drive 0.5 miles to the Sika Trail car park and use the lovely trails around Wareham Forest. From here, you can easily walk or cycle into the town. The caravan site is very centrally located so trips in all directions are easy. Our favourites were Swanage and Brownsea Island. We would thoroughly recommend this site.
