Mmmmmm, Chose your pitch carefully
I say that in the title as I agree with Tim G. We chose a pitch close to Bere Road and it can get quite noisy especially early morning and could spoil your slumbers if you like to sleep in late. If not then chose a pitch well away from the road of which there are many. we stayed on this site earlier in the year for one night before departing for France and Cherbourg from Poole and as we were on a site remote from the road it didn't prove a problem at all. The wardens are great as is the cleanliness for the facilities. Great greeting on arrival, friendly banter and any queries quickly answered so 10/10 for that. The Silent Woman pub just down from the site is good for food and the service we experienced on a moderately busy night was swift and very polite.
Access to Poole etc is good but do beware of the changing speed limits on the road to it as speed cameras are active. We noted that the Poole Pottery shop on the quay was closing down so do check beforehand on their website to not be disappointed. Plenty to do in Poole and Sandbanks and Brownsea Island are all within a day trip. Hot weather and the beaches on Studland Bay go together and access via Sandbanks and the chain ferry something little different. All in all a good site for seeing the best of Dorset.
