Lovely short break.

Stayed here for a short 3 night stay in February, a nice welcome and quick and easy check in. The site itself is well laid out, clean and tidy, the facilities were spotless although one toilet block was closed for the duration of our stay due to maintenance, this is completely understandable. The area has a wealth of attractions and three days is not long enough to visit them all, so we will gladly return. In line with other reviews we do not understand the comments about road noise we found it very quite. Eating out is very good, particular mention should be made of "The Silent Woman" pub about half a mile from the site and the "Italian Kitchen" in Wareham, both were excellent. Definitely 5*

Fabulous trip

What a gem of a site. We had a short 3 night getaway in January. The site was quiet and peaceful. The dog walk on site is fantastic, gated and fenced off so very safe for a good run of a bit off ball time. The wardens are helpful and friendly but never intrude on your privacy. The shower and toilet blocks were immaculate. The location is brilliant for forest walks (direct from site ) but we choose to go to studland beach which is only a 20 minute drive. Will definitely be back again. 5*

New Year holiday

My Husband and I have been here many times, its one of our favourite Caravan club sites. Everything was up to its usual high standard. There is always lots to do and see from this site and plenty of nice eating out places nearby. My only negative comment this year was that the nine nights we stayed the barrier was not working, we watched motorhomes arriving after dark pitching up and then departing before the office opened, obviously not paying for their pitch.

Worth a Visit

My wife and I spent three days at the site. Lousy weather but the facilities are good. Bathrooms are clean and spacious, with a well maintained laundry. December meant the site was pretty empty, leaving us ample space to move around. TV reception is dodgy at best, but the large pitches seemed good and well drained. Drinking Water and Grey Water disposal all close at hand. Staff helpful but perhaps a little distant. Not too sure of other caravaners / motor-homers comments of noisy road. We never encountered this and evenings were peacefully pleasant - even heard a number of owls hooting, and lots of pheasant activity. The site is well placed and in easy reach to a number of popular tourist haunts. Take advantage of this and mosey around as much as time allows. There is so much to see and do in the area. This is one of our English "Beauty Spots", bordering on a forest and ideal for those of us who are walkers / dogs walkers. Give the pub - Silent Women a visit, but avoid any food. The kitchen is poor. The pub itself is nice and clean and the ales worth a try. We rate the site 4*. Most enjoyable

A winter's tale.

We stayed early December for 3 nights to be near Corfe Castle for their Christmas lights and celebrations. We have stayed here before and like the location. We were one of only 11 units on the site so plenty of pitches to choose from. The facilities are good, the toilet/shower blocks clean and warm. It was a shame there was no toilet block available at the time we left to return home, even the disabled toilet was closed for cleaning which is normally left accessible during cleaning times. I do not understand the complaints regarding the 'noisy road' as we have not had an issue.

Lovely site

Stayed for two nights in early October so very quiet had a whole row of pitches to ourselves Unfortunately we chose a pitch with a fair distance to the electric hookup and our lead would not reach! But fortunately we were able to buy a lead from the site shop. Staff friendly and helpful and were happy for us to leave later on Sunday as site was so quiet which enabled us to make the most of our stay. Nice pubs with good food by the river in Wareham. Tyneham village was fascinating but also sad well worth a visit but check firing range times as not always open and definitely walk to Warbarrow beach which is beautiful. Kimmeridge bay is lovely but on a toll road fee £5.00!! Swanage steam railway was excellent. Overall a lovely clean and quiet site with plenty to see and do in the area. Will definitely be back
