What a great site with fantastic , friendly and helpful staff. Traumatic journey with two very young children ended on a recovery truck at the gate, all hands on deck to help when we arrived. Very clean and well kept with lovely sea views. Plenty to do in the local area and Brixham is beautiful albeit the road in is a tad dodgy. Collected by Green Flag after a weeks stay, we will be back ! Many thanks to all the staff.
Top site
This is the best Caravan Club site we have used since rejoining 10 years ago. Amenities are top quality, staff friendly and helpful, site immaculate. We made the most of the frequent bus services 18 and 18A from the site entrance to Kingswear (from where there is a ferry to Dartmouth) and Brixham (where Berry Head is worth a visit). There is also a less frequent 120 which goes from Kingswear to Paignton.
It's a pleasant boat trip to Agatha Christie's Greenway estate (a National Trust property) from Dartmouth quay.
The SW coast path is nearby, as is the NT house and garden of Coleton Fishacre. Access to the coast path is either through Coleton Fishacre grounds or from Brownstone NT carpark.
Plenty of other places in the area to explore as well.
A jewel of a site.

Hillhead
We stayed over the Easter weekend. A lovely site with impressive views from some areas . There's a well equipped play area and adjacent large grass playing field and a good sized dog walk. All the facilities are spotless as usual. It was a pleasant change to have a bar and entertainment and I was pleasantly surprised at how good the singer was that we saw. There's a bus stop right outside the gate which provides a regular service. A good site for exploring this part of Devon.
We had a wonderful time.
We arrived at Hillhead and it was like it was made for people who either wanted to have a good time, and we did. Non of this, oh, we will just walk past and say nothing, everyone always said `hello`, which made this site so different. The amenity block was so clean, should have music in there for the early guests. Entertainment was second to none, and it was entertainment. Getting a new van soon and I would certainly go again, and this time stay longer. Thank you Hillhead, it was worth the time to get there.
Excellent site
We have only been members for a year following my retirement but have done many club sites all over uk in our first year. Hillhead is for me is the best club site we have stayed on. Lovely welcome, private quiet pitch, beautiful scenary etc. A regular reliable bus outside the gate for easy access to all lovely local towns. In addition good entertainment and excellent bar prices, well done to all, the club needs more sites like this. We will be back very soon. If thinking about it just book it !
A wonderful family caravan site
We've (family of 4 with children aged 9 & 6) just had our 3rd stay at Hillhead and loved it every bit as much as the first 2 stays. Lovely staff, fantastic entertainment offered, great facilities, just overall wonderful.
The bus stop outside is a fab addition, meaning we could have easy trips into Dartmouth/Brixham. The campsite was peaceful and quiet. The park is awesome & our children love the arcade. It really has so much to offer and we're all looking forward to going back already (especially when the pool is open again).
Hillhead Again
We recently took advantage of the pre-Easter midweek discount, which reduced the daily price quite well. As usual the site looked good in the Spring sunshine and we found a pitch with a nice sea view. We felt the lower facilities block, nearest to us, could have been opened earlier as the site began to fill but it was eventually opened. We used the bar and restaurant and thought the food had improved this year. The shop as usual was very useful with plenty of things in stock. We did two trips using the bus stop outside the site. We went down to Brixham, which is sadly still looking rundown but the harbour walks are pleasant. We also took the bus down to Kingswear and got the foot ferry to Dartmouth, very wet weather prevented a walk to the castle so we settled for good coffee and cakes in Saveurs with a few treats to take back to the van. Another enjoyable visit to Hillhead.
Great site
Just had a couple of days on this picturesque site. The staff were very informative and helpful. The site is very quite and peaceful and has wonderful views. I found having a local bus just outside the gate very useful. not enough time to see everywhere. Bussed into Brixham and went to Coleton Fishacre on the way home. Both well worth a visit. will be back Sept /Oct to visit the Dart . Thanks for great time.
Wonderful Getaway
Booked last week of March soon after site had opened. Chose a quiet pitch at the far end of the site with views of the sea. Extremely well kept site despite the vast number of hedges around the site. These provide extra privacy for the pitches.
Wardens all very cheerful and keen to help with any issues. We arrived on site and immediately encountered a water leak from our main sink tap. Despite grass mowing at the time the warden very kindly supplied me with a whole selection of rubber tap washers for me to pick from and the leak was duly sealed. Disaster averted.
The staff ,the beer and particularly the food in the bar/restaurant were all excellent .We could not fault it .
We thoroughly enjoyed our week and can't wait to return. Many thanks to all those on site for making our stay so wonderful.
