Shame about the road noise

Very clean and well laid out site with spacious pitches. Clean toilet/shower block, however showers need more pressure. We also found wifi to be hit and miss. Lots of rabbits, ducks and duckling walking around, which was lovely to see. The road is noisy but we were lucky enough to find a pitch on the far side which made a huge difference. Good 15 minute walk into Henley. Marlow is only 8 miles away and is a far prettier, more interesting little town than Henley. If Henley didn't have the regatta, this little gem of a place would take a bigger billing, even though it too has a smaller regatta of its own.

great site but!

Great location close to Henley and lovely villages, however, very close to busy road with lots of road noise, even through the night. I was woken at 2.30am  by heavy lorryies passing through and I am not a light sleeper.  Facilities on site good but there was a problem with the WiFi so although the receipt showed excellent there was a network problem which meant I was unable to access anything.

Crows at Henly

Hi all just returned from the caravan site in Henly the site is great in walking distance to the town centre  the facilities on site are good and clean. We had one big issue and that was with the crows  they would wake you up at around 5.30 ish pecking away at the window screen or the wing mirrors on my car.  It turns out that they are attracted to dark coloured cars that shine  so don't do as I did and polish your car before you go    We had to put covers over the entire car and trap towels in the doors to cover the windows up  luckily I had my polish with me so when we got to the Brighton site I could polish the scratches out  some were quite deep.  Another issue we had was the main road we arrived late and there was limited spaces at night it was ok but you couldn't stay I bed in the morning the traffic was loud and heavy next time we'll park away from the road if possible.

Great site in a perfect location.

The site is perfectly located within a 10 to 15 minute walk to Henley. The facilities were immaculate and the wardens friendly and helpful. Yes the road is noisy but it was a bank holiday after all and we have stayed on the site before on a pitch at the back away from the road and it was fine. We have had 2 great holidays here and will definitely come back again. 01/05/2016

Great site close to Henley on Thames

We enjoyed out stay at Henley. The site has good facilities and is within easy walking distance to Henley on Thames and the river.

Laid back

First stay here and only complaint is the noise which is from the road and the sewage treatment centre, not constant but it did not affect our sleep or relaxation. Small play park but no child were staying so was to our liking. Used it as a base to visit family in High Wycombe. Lovely walks to Henley but walking towards Marlow no footpaths in some parts so be careful! Overall enjoyment 9 out of 10

Very very noisy

We have stayed here previously, and so we were prepared for the road traffic noise. This is still a problem, because the site is alongside a busy road. However, behind the site, there is a sewerage plant, and the noise from generators/compressors/machinery runs all night. The road traffic hides the sound of the sewerage works during the day,but you can hear it all night long.  Spoiled our holiday, to the extent that we explored a commercial site, Swiss Farm, about 400 yards away. This site is much further back from the road, and is very large, and would be very busy during school holidays, but was quiet at this time of the year, and we will be using this as an alternative, next time we visit the Chilterns.

Good location but very noisy Site

It was easy to find the site and as it was directly off the main road there was no "scary' ride down a narrow road to get to the main entrance. However being on the main road means that there is lots of noisy and very fast traffic going past at all hours of the day and night. In fact it was so noisy that the first night we wondered if we were beside a railway track with trains going past! Would imagine that if we sat out we would have felt that we were in a lay-by.  We commented that it was like being in a lay-by but without the wobble when the fast cars and lorries went by. The facilities were clean and tidy but it was a shame that they closed so early for cleaning as this meant that on lazy start days we couldn't have a shower until after lunch.  There are a number of red kites which fly around over the site and they were good to see. The hardstanding pitches are quite narrow  and this meant that although our van was correctly lined up we still drove over the grass when parking the car. Some of the larger combinations had no option but to go over the grass when being sited and this has churned up the really wet grass. Despite having commented about the noise we would stay there again and it was handy for LegoLand and Windsor but we would try to be on the far side of the site away from the road if possible .

Nice site

Very well kept site, immaculate facilities, good wifi. Bus stop ¼ mile from site entrance and walk helped by end of site access gate. Frequent service to Marlow, High Wycombe and in other direction Reading. Road noise as many others have said is evident but this is after all the outskirts of a town so must be expected. Walk into Henley about 10-15 mins easy stroll. Good site for a short break. Note hook up bollards are by and large a way from the pitch a 25 mtr mains lead and if you want to watch TV a 25mtr Ariel cable should be taken.

Loved this site

This was our first visit to the site and the area, we both loved our stay and experiences. This site is well looked after and the facilities in our opinion were excellent especially the baby/toddler bathroom and children's play area. The wardens are extremely helpful and caring. The only comment is that the hard standing pitches are too small in width and would benefit from corner radius to allow easier access for cars pulling on and off the roadway and avoiding running on to the surrounding grass area. We fully intend to visit this site again and explore more of the area.
