A Pleasant Stay

This is a smaller site and fairly quiet although next to the main road. Friendly staff, good clean shower/toilet block, only a fifteen minute walk into the town centre. Would stay here again.

Pleasant Stay

Arrived in a motorhome and ended on grass, pitch near road, fairly noisy but that did not detract from a good stay, Wardens welcoming. Easy walk to town and we have 2 old dogs, able to eat in the pub by the bridge, all in all enjoyable stay

Handy for Henley

Stayed here a number of times and it's a great site for access to the town on foot or by car. However walking along the main road into Henley can be a very uncomfortable experience caused by speeding vehicles and the narrow, overgrown pavement. If you must drive you can always pay the very reasonable £1.60 for three hours parking in the Waitrose car park which gives ample time to explore the town centre. The car park is free after 5pm, even earlier on Saturday afternoon and all of Sunday. The only downside of the site is the incessant road noise which spoils the ambience for anyone unfortunate enough to be near the road. If you do end up in a noisy, roadside pitch, the wardens are perfectly happy for you to move to a quieter spot if one becomes available. The mix of random grass and hardstanding pitches relieves the usual tedium of some Club site layouts. In all, a very pleasant place to stay.

A very pleasant site to stay at

Stayed at this site for four nights recently and thoroughly enjoy mour time here.   The site is very well maintained and the facilities are spotless.   Very convenient for visiting places liked Bournemouth , Christchurch, lymington, etc and also the area itself is very interesting.   Thanks you for a pleasant stay.

Lovely in the sunshine!

Spent what must be one of the wettest weeks in June here but enjoyed our visit nontheless. The site is set amongst very mature trees and despite the rain few of the pitches became waterlogged. The site provides a choice of grass or hardstanding and pitches are set fairly randomly - not in regimented rows like a car park. The site is well maintained and the toilet/shower block is a credit to the hardworking wardens. The road is very busy and probably noisy for those pitched near it but otherise the site is quiet and peaceful. The pleasant walk into town takes about 20 minutes bus stops about 5. The Red Kite flying overhead are spectacular. There is a children's playground on site but on the whole not much around for the kids. We would have no hesitation in visiting again but preferably when the sun is shining! The only improvement we would suggest would be to make the signs at the entrance a little more prominent - they could easily be missed on arrival and traffic is quite fast at this point.

Nice but wet (can't control the British weather)

Stayed here for four nights and overall we liked the site, yes there's noise from the road but the site mentions this, however the speed limit of 30 is not adhered to even though it's clearly signposted. Nice walk into Henley on Thames if you don't mind the heavy traffic, we don't have children and I wouldn't want to have to walk along this road with them. Wardens very friendly and helpful, could do with a few more showers as there were queues in the ladies shower block.

Our Week at Henley

Arrived early even after fighting the traffic in the town !! Staff very helpful as one would expect. Plenty of wild life on the site even spotted woodpeckers on the trees.A certain amount of traffic noise but tolerable if away from the road. Within easy reach of local shops and places of interest. Site well maintained and a all facilities clean and tidy.

Staying at henley

Pleasant site , as explained in the write up road noise , but that was not a problem for us. Clean and well looked after but could do with a bit of updating. Didn't enjoy our stay unfortunately but not the sites fault, found quite a few members to be quite rude and snobbish. Being new to this caravaning I have found most people on sites very polite with a morning and hi how are you which to me is nice and pleasant don't expect that here I'm afraid. At least the people who run the site were very nice and helpful and worked extremely hard to keep it clean and well looked after. Thankyou

Our stay at Henley

The site info warns you of the noisy road which is quite true. After the first night our neighbours either side moved to pitches further away from the road which had become vacant. I did not realise you could do that before 12-00. We were on pitch 4 after two nights the caravan became invaded with ants, went to reception for help, and advice, unfortunately none available. Also the water taps in the centre of the site are set too high.

Lovely Henley

Decided to stay at Henley for weekend as daughter had athletic compotion in little marlow . Arrived Friday afternoon , lovely little site staff helpful as always on caravan club sites. Clean lovely toilets , 20 minute walk into Henley , only gripe was road very noisy but if you park close to road that is what you expect , daughter and partner wasn't bothered so can't be that bad . Will be back as I've been ordered to by my daughter
