Just want to endorse the comments about the friendliness of the wardens and the work they do to keep the site looking it's best. Even although the site was almost always full, it remained peaceful and quiet. Given there is only one block of facilities, it could be busy at some parts of the morning. Great walking directly from the site with easy access to the shops, restaurants and pubs in Hawes. There are also regular local buses should you wish to travel further without your own wheels. We will definitely return.
Great site
Just spent 3 nights at Hawes, what a lovely site, easy ten minute walk to Hawes with all the cafes, pubs and cheese factory as well as many antique shops and other attractions. Close to the Pennine Way, fabulous walks right on the doorstep.
The site was spotlessly clean, as we have come to expect, the wardens were extremely friendly on arrival and a good choice of pitches available to choose from.
Would highly recommend this site if you enjoy walking and having a village close by.

Great site
First visit to the site. Wardens friendly & helpful on arrival & throughout stay. Lovely peaceful site, facilities excellent and spotless. Some great walks in the area and Haws can be walked to easily with a good choice of shops, bars, cafe's etc.
Will definitely visit again.
A site that has just about everything
A great site on the edge of Hawes, very clean and peaceful. Lots of local attractions, the Wensleydale Cheese Factory not to be missed. Good access, great walks and easy to tour the local area. Helpful site staff and plenty of good Yorkshire hospitality. Would return here.
Barbie's Review
Lovely site in a fantastic area. Handy to walk into Hawes. Wardens friendly and helpful. Facilities very clean. We shall certainly return in the future.
Pawnine Way is Number 1
Our second visit to Hawes and what a great site, friendly wardens, lovely location and a nice walk into the town. Our first time here with a dog and this is probably the best dog walk we have visited so far. Open field with buttercups and pathways cut to give a really good walk. Serviced pitches are well worth with the money. Just be aware of the very tight arrivals area round the small roundabout. I scratched my alloys on the curb which is a pain.
Absolute gem in the Yorkshire Dales
What a fantastic site this is. Only 5 minutes out of the beautiful dales village of Hawes and surrounded by breath taking countryside. This was our first visit to the site and we found it spotlessly clean both around the pitches themselves and also the amenities. The wardens were very helpful when booking in advising us of suitable pitches that were available as it was a very busy bank holiday weekend. This saved us the trouble of driving around looking for a pitch. The surrounding area is stunning and their are loads of walks to do in the area. hawes itself has everything you could possibly want. Small independent shops, the creamery and plenty of local eateries. Hawes was very busy with bikers as this seems to be a meeting point for them and with roads around the area taking you through twists and turns i can see why. If this puts you off don't let it as they were all well natured and courteous. I can't wait to stay here again.
Great Site
In our opinion, this is one of the best UK sites and ideally located in the true heart of the Yorkshire Dales. Wardens couldn't be more helpful. Toilet block good. Pitches good. Small shop good. Local amenities very good and in easy walking distance. Plenty to see/do in the local area. What's not to like??? I have however dropped a couple of stars in the 'good for families' category as there is no children's play area (something that a lot of people will be relieved to hear do doubt). Overall a great site and one of our favourites. If you are thinking of visiting the Yorkshire Dales, this is the site you want.
One of the best.
We have been to Hawes before and we are coming back again in September.
Let’s start of by Hawes town itself. It has lots of places to eat out, the best we found was the Crown, great evening meal, ploughman’s in the afternoon is one of the best I have had and they love dogs. If you want a superb cream tea try the Caffe Curva on the right as you go into town just make sure you have a good appetite. There is also a chippie, spar supermarket and an assortment of other shops that you can purchase clothes and walking outdoor gear from. Market day is on a Tuesday so don’t take your car into town.
Hawes Caravan Club Site. The site is very clean as is the toilet block, I think this was due to the fact there were mainly adults at this time. When everyone’s little darlings arrive in the school holidays it might all change, however I think the wardens do a fantasic job of keeping it clean. All the wardens are very friendly and helpful so a pleasure to talk to, remember you are in the country and there is a farm next to the site so you might get some strong smells now and again, those sheep just don’t care do they. There is a small shop on site where you can get a few bits for the caravan or you fancy an ice cream. To round it off this is a great site close to town and has service pitches.
