Fab site.

Bob and Al if I have remembered their names correctly were assistant site managers in oct 2016 when we stayed  there. Very friendly and always stopped for a chat. They are a credit to the caravan club site. The site was immaculate inc the toilets. Not an easy task. Thank you for making our stay so relaxing. And the dogs say hi too ????

Excellent Site

Superb site. Freindly and helpful wardens. The site was well maintained and kept immaculately clean. The site is ideally located for visits to the Gower Peninsula and it's wonderful beaches and handy for the city of Swansea. Also close to the National Showcaves of Wales.

Helpful wardens

Love this site and returning after a few years gap, it was just as delightful as ever. This time, it was pretty squelchy on arrival and all the hard standings were taken. So, pitching on the grass it was! Having got a bit stuck in the mud, we had great help from the duty warden with some mats and muscle to get us onto firmer ground and well pitched. Many thanks, it set us up for some fine weather and a great holiday!

Not a good choice for us

Booked this site as part of a south wales road trip.......should have paid more attention to detail like the 11ft high bridge on the road in or the separate 2.3 mtr wide bridge local to the site Managed to get the motorhome past these obstacles Not the friendliest of welcomes at site, Hard standing 1st come basis, ground water logged and the warden greeted us by saying it was against policy to tow out a motorhome if we got stuck but find your own pitch !!!! and it may be on the boggy ground. Simply not good enough and if ground is not fit for purpose bookings should not be accepted. The local pub "welcome to the Gower" was OK decent pub grub and this along with the bus stop for Swansea are a short walk. There s a local Tesco Extra and garage for convenience. Cant think of any reason to return.

Update needed

Great site but needs to have a update on toilet block More hard standings would be good as the grass pitches are very soft and not of use when weather has been bad.

Wet pitch

On site 6th to 16 Sept. Had pitch 26 hard standing, on two occasions we had heavy rain and both times back of pitch was waterlogged and came through groundsheet. When we arrived there was 5/6 hard standings available, could we not have been told this pitch was susceptible to waterlogging? Site was clean and quiet and if in area we would stay here again, but we have made a note of poor pitches.

Disappointment

On arrival was told no hard standings were available all had been allocated on a first come first served basis, all grass pitches where very wet. Had planned to stay 3 nights but only stayed the 1 , will not be staying again.

wonderful staff

The staff are brilliant. We arrived after the fish and chip order deadline had passed, no problem, they rang through to place it - dinner sorted. The site had alot of ground water, the warden was incredibly helpful finding a relatively sound pitch, they were more than helpful.
