We have recently stayed at Godrevy site Hayle we had fantastic weather ☀️ the site is well run as to be expected from CAMC, we have a motorhome and don’t take it out so were very lucky that the bus had temporarily rerouted past the site into st ives which was great for us, otherwise a 15 min walk to bus stop, £56 gets you a wks family travel very easy download first bus app.
Lovely walk out of back gate across a somewhat busy Rd over sand dunes on to beach about 10 /15 mins walk a few nice places to eat sunset surf and jam pot are highly recommended, we walked up to see the seals at the lighthouse about an 45 mins there is a large NT car park up there so free if yr with them, we also walked along the beach to hayle a beautiful walk about an hr but be careful the tide is well out best to check tide times.
Our only gripe was the amount of dogs off leads several just running round freely we have always had a dog but not anymore there were several people complaining even ones with dogs, but nothing seemed to be done about it 🤷♀️
But overall a great site
Thank you for an amazing time!
We arrived to the most friendly warm welcome from Jane. She explained fully the site and also advised on watching the sunset in the dunes. That was impressive!
We got a bit lost trying to find the pitches so I stopped Scott on his lawnmower- he couldn’t be more helpful, even showed us which pitches to choose from!
We set up near the shower block. Which was not noisy,
People were considerate.
We went to the beach and watched the sunset, that is a must! We have a dog and the beach caters for the dogs on one side.
The facilities were the cleanest I’ve ever used and even a doggy wash/wetsuit shower.
The site is near to a pub but we couldn’t get in but ordered a Chinese on Justeat and it was amazing.
This site was clean, well kept and the most friendly wardens Jane and Scott 👏👏👏
Lovely site, great location
We stayed for 1 week in June 2021.
Our pitch was great in a lovely circular part of the site that felt private and very quiet.
Pitch size was very good, plenty of space.
A gate leads to the beach, about a 10 to 15 minute walk across the dunes. Lovely beach.
We didn’t use local public transport but think there is a bus stop outside the site.
There are plenty of supermarkets nearby, a Lidl within a 5 minute drive and a Tesco in Hayle, about 10 minutes away.
The Jam Pot cafe is a 15 minute walk away and sits overlooking the beach. Serves great food and drinks.
Toilet block is clean and showers are good. There are no shelves in the showers although plenty of hooks to hang towel and clothes on.
Overall, a great site and we are planning a return visit.
Only the weather could have been better!!
We had a wet and windy 3 nights here but wow this is a great site, we were advised about where to pitch out of the gale which was very helpful. The pitches are really good with good spacing between them. The facilities are excellent and very clean. Yes we were impressed, only the weather, which did relent for one day, could have been better although it didn't interfere with our plans for the stay. Will we return? YES. Would we recommend this site? YES. Others have already commented on other aspects so will not repeat.
A Gem Of A Site!
We stayed at Godrevy from Friday 28th to Monday 31st May.
It was our first visit and will not be our last (we have already booked a week at Easter next year.)
The staff are very lovely and really helpful. The site is kept in immaculate condition and it was a very pleasant surprise to arrive, and have such a roomy pitch. We have a large, twin Axle unit, and we had so much room, which made a refreshing change.
Our only disappointment was the fact that the hot water kept failing in the showers. Certainly not the fault of the staff, who did their utmost to get the problem sorted out.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and cannot recommend this site highly enough.
We are very much looking forward to returning.
Thank you, from Karen & Steven.
Bank Holiday Stay @ Godrevy
We stayed here from 27th May to 31st May, over a busy sunny bank holiday weekend. We are a couple with a dog, no children. The wardens were very friendly and helpful, and trying to accommodate all of the arrivals. The site was well looked after, toilets and showers were cleaned regularly.
The Towans were just a short 5 minute walk away, and were greeted with lovely views over the stunning beach. At first we were unsure how to get to the beach, but discovered a 10-15 minute walk through the car park, to the lifeguards hut and the steps to the beach. The beach was not very accessible for anyone with walking difficulties.
We also visited the local pub which was a 10 minute walk from the site, dog friendly, and the food was very good.
The site has a variety of food vendors visit, we tried the fish and chips and the fish was very good.
I really enjoyed our stay at Godrevy and would come back again.
Fabulous location
We visited this site for the first time and will definitely be back. A wonderful location with good access to the fantastic dunes and beaches. Great place to climb a dune and watch the beautiful sunset. A good base also for visiting other nearby popular beauty spots.
The wardens were very friendly and kept the site spotless.
Superb site and wardens
We have just returned from this beautiful site. The wardens were so helpful and friendly, even in these difficult times atm. The site was immaculately clean, including the toilets and general areas. Fantastic location , we absolutely loved it , thank you .

Superb site in a lovely location
Just back from a lovely week at Godrevy Park. Where do I start? Firstly, the wardens we met were extremely helpful upon arrival and during our stay. The site is very neat and tidy, and the toilet block was immaculate. I did not feel worried about anything when using the block. The pitches are very private and the dunes for a dog walk are close by. We used the visiting Fish and Chip van and other than no haddock (due to the storm preventing the fishermen catching any!!) were superb and freshly cooked. The beaches nearby are an absolute must to visit. Vast beaches to walk on but beware the tides come in quite quickly!! The best Pasty shop ever is in Hayle town centre which is a short drive from the site, and of course St. Ives. Everyone we met on the site were friendly, but then again it is a lovely club to be a member of anyhow!!
Highly recommended site. Book early to avoid disappointment!

Lovely to be back again
This site is like going home as our son lives in Hayle. We always enjoy being here even when the weather was as awful due to storm Alex.
What was extra special this year was the fish and chip van. Weve been visiting the site and arriving on Fridays for about 4 years (twice a year usually) and never before seen the fish and chip van. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS. These were THE BEST FISH AND CHIPS that we have had at a campsite for a long time and were a real treat.
Things were fine regarding covid regulations in the loos and all over the campsite. Felt very safe. Thanks to everyone for working so hard and giving us the chance to get away in our motorhome this year. It was looking unlikely earlier in the year and we look forward to seeing you again next year
