The friendliest site.

Have spent a lot of time at this site and have still to find any faults with the running and cleanliness. The site managers are extremely friendly and welcoming (I wish I could say this about all of them) and they make you feel really welcome. The floral displays are a real bonus and makes the site look extremely welcoming and attractive. In all I would say that this is the best site I have stayed on.

May break 2015

When we first arrived at the site we didn't really know what had let ourselves in for, how wrong can we be. The site is situated in a lovely part of Scotland, if you like walking and plenty of piece and quiet then this is definitely the site for you. The wardens couldn't have been more helpful, we will definitely book this site again when we need to "unwind".

Lovely site and area

Just had a lovely week at this beautiful site. The countryside around it is wonderful. Lots of lovely places to visit. Galloway forest is particularly spectacular. The site is really well maintained and the wardens are helpful and friendly. Hopefully we will come again, even though the weather this time was a bit harsh!!!

Wonderful site

Sealed Well what a wonderful site, brilliant friendly wardens Martin & Anne. We had broke down on the way and it was an ordeal to get there and feared the trip would be cancelled, glad we could still continue with our holiday. The site was clean and the layout is just perfect for the exceptional views. Had a week and even though it is a sleepy little village, plenty to do for the grown ups! wonderful walks, bird watching, big house and gardens, history, dog friendly, a pub..... and much more. Holiday plans are now being based around visiting this part of Scotland again. Thank you again Caravan Club

One of the best

What a beautiful peaceful site with friendly and helpful wardens, Martin & Ann. We are on a tour of Scotland and picked this site for our wedding anniversary before meeting up with friends to go further North and East. We initially wondered about travelling so fast wet before going North but it was certainly worth the effort. We would certainly have missed out it we hadn't visited this site.. We found the pitch size more than adequate - we have a Vanmaster 640 and an almost full size awning. Although we weren't on a pitch right on the harbour wall we still had an excellent view of the bay due to the way the pitches were laid out. This is not a big site but that is part of the appeal. The site has 2 areas - one part overlooking the harbour and the other in a walled garden which was more secluded. The whole site was immaculately kept  by the hard working wardens. The floral display by the entrance was particularly nice. Both of the toilet blocks were spotless and cleaned thoroughly every day. We would certainly recommend this site for a relaxing and peaceful stay. As it mentioned it does not have a play area but that was one of the appealing factors to us. Although there are no dedicated dog walking areas there are plenty of walks close to the site as well as the beach when the tide is out. A real gem of a site

one of scotlands hidden gems

Our 3rd visit because of the great views from the harbour front pitches-good pub/grub-wonderful walks along the foreshore and wardens who are both very friendly and work so hard to make your visit such a memorable experience.

Fabulous

Had a lovely two weeks here recently and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, the wardens and assistant wardens were extremely friendly and very helpful. Great place for a quiet escape, lovely walks close by and a fabulous collection of Rhododendrons and a Handkerchief Tree at Garlieston House Gardens. The Harbour Inn is great for food and very reasonably priced, would also recommend the Bladnoch Inn nr Wigtown and The Steam Packet in Isle of Whithorn.

peaceful

All I can say is that I think we found a little gem. This site is peaceful and has fantastic views of the bay, a short walk to the beach and good walks around the coastline. The facilities are basic, but clean, not too sure what else you would need. Please don't book this site if you are wanting night life or entertainment, which is exactly what we don't want. We want fresh air, relaxing walks and peace and quiet.  Lovely site.
