Who built that Bridge

Have regarded Garlieston as one of our favourite sites since 2007 We call at least 4-6 times a year. A replacement Bridge has been fitted, if you have a caravan you will 'bottom' your caravan, if you have a larger motorhome, the same will happen. Not good, please sort this out soon. A bit of planning would have averted this !! The site will still remain one of out favourites. The wardens need to be commended for the floral display, each year, why hasn't this site won this catagory

Lovely Easter

Stayed here from Thursday to Monday and despite a bit of rain, we really enjoyed it. It is quiet, clean, well maintained, and friendly with good facilities. Good wlaks nearby and a nice Pub. Our second visit and there will be more.

A Great Start to Our Caravanning Year

Spent Easter at this peaceful site, our first outing of the year. We chose a pitch in the walled garden which was a wise choice given the high winds we experienced. Our new air awning was in no danger at all. Our dog thoroughly enjoyed the easy access to the dog friendly beach and the other lovely walks accessible from the site. We enjoyed two delicious meals at the Harbour Inn where the staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food superb. We would definitely recommend this site for a peaceful and relaxing getaway.

Lovely Peaceful Site

We have just returned from this lovely site having spent Easter weekend there. The wardens could not have been more helpful and obliging. An exceptionally peaceful site with beautiful views and some great beach walks.  Some local birdlife to be seen from the caravan included curlews and oystercatchers. The toilet/shower blocks were immaculate at all times and the site was very, very tidy. We will absolutely stay there again.

First time out

This was our first time out with a motorhome and the first site we have used. If this is the standard , then we will be very happy. Excellent information from the friendly wardens, who provided an immaculate site. Great location for the local pub , who supplied great food. The local bus service was handy to get you back to the site , once the days walk was over. Would definitely recommend it.

So relaxing

We have just returned from Garlieston and what a fantastic site it is. The site had only just opened for the season when we arrived and it was immaculate, full marks to the wardens, who were both very welcoming and helpful. We pitched right on the harbourside and had a great view. We can thoroughly recommend the Harbour Inn, both for their beer a food. The pub is family run and all the staff take their time out to make you feel welcome.

lovely site

Just returned from a another great holiday on this site. Wardens are very pleasant and cant do enough to help you. A great walk to Rigg Bay can be bit muddy in places but overall a beautiful walk. Visited village tea room and pub, food excellent and both places dog friendly. Will be returning soon.

I love this place

We stayed on this site for a week in the summer of 2015. It is a little gem the site cleanliness and upkeep is everything we have come to expect on the Caravan Club sites, but we so enjoyed this area the beautiful walks and wildlife (I took a photo of a curlew on morning). We took the bus into Newton Stewart for coffee and retail therapy and there is a pub and café just across from the site entrance that we used most days (both dog friendly). Definitely worth a return visit.

Wonderful site

Lovely site with pleasant views, and the walled area quiet and secluded. Staff are excellent. Local pub with restaurant/café very good with friendly staff and dog friendly within short walk from site.

PEACE PERFECT PEACE

What a wonderful site. We have just enjoyed the most rewarding stay here in perfect weather, blue skies, strong sun and so forth. This is a site for those seeking real peace. The views are great, the site is immaculate with a wonderful display of flowers and the staff are truly welcoming and always willing to do all that they can for you. To be pitched right on the sea wall is really great. The village is small but welcoming with a good pub only yards from the site, and a bus stop there too for those that can use them. Plenty to do out and about, although the surface of the roads leaves much to be desired. We will be back.
