A good two nights in April

Mid April in a Romahome 20, despite some rain/sleet/hail and snow a great time had by us both. Super site with fine pitches near to the water, lovely little town, Garlieston, with a fabulous pub - the Harbour Arms. good food and service. Will visit again.

Revisit

We have been coming for a number of years.  Due to heavy rain this year some of the grass pitches were unusable.  Wardens were there usual cheery selves.

Back again.

Back at our favourite site.Everything kept in perfect order by the wardens, a lovely welcome from them.Had some delicious meals in the pub and breakfasts in the Tea Room. The Harbour Inn also has three beautiful rooms where your family or friends could stay whilst visiting you on holiday. We will be visiting again soon.

Lovely little site

We stayed here for 3 nights in September 2015 on a tour around southern Scotland. First time here and what a great choice. We'd booked a standard pitch without awning so it meant we got one of the pitches on the harbour wall. Fab view of the little town and the tide rushing in and out. The facilities were spotless, plenty of hot water in the showers and the wardens were friendly and helpful. The pub is a short walk and is also dog friendly serving scrummy food. We will definitely be returning here.

wonderful place for relaxation

Just had a week at Garlieston Caravan Site. Wonderful place to relax. Warm welcome from the wardens. Great to sit and watch the wading birds in the bay, oyster catchers and curlews. Logan Botanic Gardens was an excellent place to visit, with magnolias and camellias in flower. We also saw red kites in the Galloway forest park. Will be returning to this wonderful area.

Fabulous

This was our first outing ever in a motorhome. This site was perfect, Ann & Martin (wardens) were very helpful and very welcoming. We wanted somewhere to unwind with a peaceful atmosphere, Garlieston fitted the bill to a tee. We didn't know what to expect as motor homing was a completely new concept to us, the site was clean and well looked after, nothing was too much trouble if we were unsure. Cycling and walking in abundance. The pub is just a stones throw from the site, very friendly with good food. Definitely recommend this site, we will certainly be back. Thank you for a wonderful introduction to the world of motor homing and the Caravan Club.

Gem of a site

Just returned from spending a long weekend over Easter. Very helpful and friendly wardens. The site was immaculate and all facilities. Great venue for families who want to get away from it all. We explored the beach, great for bikes as all the nearby roads are very quiet. Also good for using the site as a base. We went to Cream o'Galloway and enjoyed the treetop nets, climbing tower and the delicious ice-cream. We went to the swimming pool at Newton Stewart on a rainy Saturday and had a drive up the coast to Ballantrae where we were rewarded with seeing gannets and shags diving for fish. Would recommend this site and will definitely come back.

Great in Garlieston

Spent a week here over Easter.  Nice quiet site away from everything.  Good facilities and friendly locals.  An excellent pub nearby, The Harbour Inn, serving excellent meals including a Sunday carvery and real ale.  We don't have a dog but the walks down by the harbour and beyond would suit the doggy set.  We will be returning.
