Wonderful situation!
A beautifully situated site and we were fortunate to have a pitch right on the harbour thanks to the friendly warden team.
The Harbour Inn is very dog friendly (we have a Deerhound) and we enjoyed our meal here and would also recommend the Steam Packet Inn at Whithorn Bay - also dog friendly.
Local walks are a real treat, along the beach or up to Cruggleton Castle via sandy beaches and blue bell woods.
Only downside, the shower block, although spotlessly clean could do with a re-think at some stage. There are only two shower cubicles resulting in queuing and the shower heads are somewhat wild, and drainage inefficient resulting in much excess water. On more than one occasion I arrived to find water flowing out of the cubicle and into the toilet opposite. Best solution is a quick shower then head for the wash basin cubicle to dress, therefore avoiding the wet trouser bottom problem!
