Totally Relaxing

Another great stay at the Garlieston Club site. We were blessed with brilliant weather for the 11 days we spent there.  The site is kept in excellent order and the wardens do everything in their power to make your stay enjoyable. The area caters well for visitors with beautiful countryside walks & a very welcoming pub restaurant & coffee shop at the Harbour Inn a short walk from the site. Will be going back again later this year to recharge my batteries!

Glorious!

I had wanted to visit this site since we first joined the Caravan Club and it lived up to all my expectations! We were lucky enough to get a pitch right on the sea wall (more than I could have hoped for when the site was virtually full) and the weather was hot and sunny all week!! But I would return even without the spectacular sea view or the glorious weather. The location is wonderful for woodland and coastal walks (we are dog walkers, not hikers) and the walk to nearby Galloway a House Gardens is well with the effort. The Harbour Inn pub nearby was welcoming, dog friendly and with fabulous food at a very reasonable price. A short drive to the Isle of Withorn provided a lovely day out at another charming little harbour with another good pub for lunch. I loved this site and can't wait to return.

June 2016 Visit Great place to Stay

Exceptionally clean site with good facilities very helpful wardens. Having broken my wrist on the first day of our visit things became difficult and the wardens could not have been more helpful in every way possible. Would not hesitate in returning, hopefully not breaking a wrist next time. Thanks Wardens.

A Great Place to Stay

We were last at Garlieston about 4 years ago and were looking forward to returning after travelling from New England Bay site. What a great surprise when we arrived and the lady told us that if we wanted an evening meal at the Harbour Inn we should make a booking; the last time we were there it was a scruffy wee men only type of place with nothing to eat. The site hasn't changed much but getting a nice pitch at the side of the water is fantastic. The facilities are just CC standard and were always available. The flowers at the site entrance makes for a nice arrival. Another great improvement in the area is the bus service. Previously, it was one bus in the third week of May, now all the buses come through the village making it easy to get around the area rather than drive, a nice relaxing way to see such a beautiful part of Scotland. Thanks for a nice visit and we will surely return if only to sample the food and beer at the Harbour Inn.

Could not be better.

Garlieston is our favourite site. Ann and Martin work very hard to keep the site clean and tidy and the flowers beautiful. They are helpful and welcoming as are the people in the village, especially in the Harbour Inn. We will keep returning.

Garlieston 2016

Stayed 3 nights at Garlieston from 31/5. Great site, Wardens, Facilities, Weather and friendly campers. Pity about the dogs. Have never seen as many animals gathered together apart from Crufts and just as noisy. Some campers had 3 dogs. T, & A, Ingham, Pilling.
