We stayed early may bank holiday at this lovely site, with our 3 year old and spaniel. It’s a small but picturesque site. The views across the bay are amazing. There is a lovely circular walk from the site that takes you along the coast then through gardens back to the pub. Which is close to the site entrance. My little girl spent ages on the beaches and loved hunting for the fairy doors that have been hidden in the woodland on the walk. There isn’t a playground on the site but there are two very close by. One near the shower block for preschoolers and a large playground near the houses at the back of the pub. Ann, one of the wardens, who booked us in was very helpful. We were give a key for the disabled bathroom so we could use it as a family shower. The showers were really good and the site itself is immaculate. We would definitely recommend it and will be returning when we next visit this lovely part of Scotland.
Garlieston Caravan Club Site
Just back after spending 4 nights, Site and toilets facilities are spotless, site is quite and very peaceful right up our street, Wardens are very friendly and so helpful, I had a problem with my electric hook up on my caravan, the Warden who's name escapes me checked all my fuses both in car and caravan even made us a cup of tea, this was service over and beyond the call of duty - thank you both for all your help. We will definitely be back.

Very pleasant, clean and quiet site.
This was our first visit to the site and we will definitely be returning. The site is extremely well kept and the facilities are very clean. The site owners were friendly and very helpful.
Garlieston itself is quaint, quiet and a good base to explore the area. There is just the one pub which serves good food and is a 2 min walk from the site. There is also a small shop at the local garage selling essentials and a bit more besides.

Lovely Site
Our first visit to the area and this site. Garlieston is a beautiful village and the views from the pitches is stunning. The warden was most friendly and helpful and it was a treat to be able to buy fresh fish from the fish van. This is a very quiet, small, site and may not be suitable for families with young children. The local hotel/bar was very pleasant for a drink or 2 after dinner. It was very popular with people from the site for dinner, although we didn't eat there.
We enjoyed 4 lovely days here and look forward to our next visit. Handy for the Wigtown Book Festival in September too. We will definitely be back!!

Excellent
Sitting in our motorhome overlooking the harbour in bright sunshine (albeit chilly and windy). Then the fresh fish man came and the scallops were truly magnifique! What joy. This is our second visit here but it will not be the last time. The nearby Harbour Inn provided very well for our eating and drinking needs. Shh don’t tell anyone about the place or everyone will want to come.
Best Wardens Ever
We have been to this site many times and each time the welcome is warm. This year my husband was seriously ill and we had to cancel but rebooked now all is well. Not only did we have a lovely get well card from the wardens but on revisiting last week were met by Martin saying if you need any help just ask, this is standard from both of them. We look forward to returning next season, but after that may not return as it will not be the same without them. Such a shame that wardens who seem to fit like a glove to a site have to move on, think lots of regulars will feel the same. Everything is always immaculate and both Ann and Martin are a credit to the club.
Thank you to them both for making all our visits such a pleasure

Relaxing Autumn break on immaculate site
We spent four nights at this lovely site. Very peaceful and quiet within a 100 or so metres of the local pub. Toilets and showers very clean. The site is kept beautiful with the falling autumn leaves swept and tidied. The wardens are extemely helpful and friendly. The walks around the coastline are stunning. We got kitted up with our waterproofs, however we only got one wet day which did not deter us, rucksack and packups, then headed for a nice quiet spot for lunch. If you enjoy walking you will love this site. Isle of Whithorn is worth a visit, with its picturesque harbour and laid back feel. Also a visit to the Galloway Forest is recommended. Would not hesitate in revisiting this site.
Fab little site
As an older couple in our 50s without kids, we love this site! This years visit was 19/10/17 - 23/10/17. As usual, the locals were lovely and welcoming in the pub and the wardens were accommodating. Our friends and ourselves had a fabulous relaxing weekend, which is what we wanted. Would recommend to anyone!!
