Lovely peaceful site

Peaceful site, great hard standing pitches, with plenty of space. Beach 5 minute walk away (dog friendly).  Nice pub 10 min walk up steep hill but definitely worth the walk!!!

Wonderful!

This is my favourite CC site so far. Maybe we were lucky as the site wasn't full when we were here but it was so peaceful and quiet - only the sound of sheep and lambs and the odd bird song to break the quiet. The facilities, as noted, are a bit old - and the space in the showers was a bit tight - but they are very clean and the water was piping hot. We went for a quick walk to the beach the first evening and were stunned by the lovely views. There is no phone or tv reception on site (bliss) and there was nowhere close to walk to buy food but it is a well appointed site to strike out from and we visited Tenby, Pembroke Castle and St David's in the 2 days were were here. I can't wait to come back and do more.

Bank Holiday weekend

Just come back from a long weekend at Freshwater East and I thought it was a fabulous site. Long narrow plot with amenities blocks no more than a hundred yards away from any pitch. The beach is lovely and clean and sandy ideal for the kids or dogs and apparently good for surfing although there were very few waves when I was there but in summer would be idealic. there are no pubs or restaurants within walking distance although we visited the local Freshwater East Inn for Sunday lunch which was pleasant and basic food with a great view of the bay. Would like to return in summer months as there are a few castles in the area that I would like to visit. I did visit Pembroke castle and it was well worth a day trip with a free guided tour.

Lovely April break

Great weather in April, pleasant spacious site, lovely wardens, fabulous walking - what more can you want?  Facilities a bit dated but spotless, and transport needed to make the most of the area.

A great Easter Weekend

A wonderful location and a great site. Polite wardens and very clean facilities. Although by no means a criticism there is absolutely no TV reception unless you run a coaxial from your van to the mains hook up post. My family and I will most definitely return to make the most of the beaches in the summer months. If the club were to upgrade the site like they have done at Brecon then it would be 5 stars for everything, but still what a fantastic site and weekend away with my family.

Peaceful setting, close to beach with friendly staff

Freshwater is great if your looking for a quiet spot, right on the beach. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the hard standing pitch was great. The toilets are clean and well kept as is the site. There is a great Inn within 5 minutes drive that serves great food and there is plenty to see and do. Be warned not for the novice tower as the roads in are narrow but quiet.

Enjoyable site

We enjoyed this site very much. The staff were fantastic, friendly and vey helpful. Superb location for dogs also. Only criticism is we would not like to be there when the site is full due to the limited number if showers. We will be back, only not during peak season.
