Autumn sun!

This is a lovely site with spotlessly clean facilities. Easy walk to beach and access to coast path. The bar next door is very friendly and also had a little shop for ice creams etc. We enjoyed our bit of late autumn sun on the last w/e before it shut for the season. Lovely.

Almost wonderful but...

Absolutely faultless due to facilities, location, beach and the "secret" bar/cafe in adjacent holiday camp! Only down side is that (as in all CC sites I've used) water taps are few in number - in a MH you have to make endless trips with watering can or disconnect everything and drive to tap - very annoying!

There has been a lot good things said about this site and I cannot add anymore, just to say long may it continue and with the updates planned this winter it should be better. Mobiles coverage is non existent on site. Very good site. Looking forward to visiting next year. Enjoy

Perfect for the beach.

Freshwater East is perfect for the lovely beaches and bays in the area. We enjoyed walking the coast path which is located within meters of the site. The site and facilities are spotless and the staff all very friendly and informative. We cannot wait for our next stay.

Good stay

Spent 10 days mid September. A nice tiered site but hard standing pitches are small and levelling on the grass pitches could be a challenge. Glad to hear a revamp is on the way as it is desperately needed. Site has WiFi but connection was troublesome even 10 metres away from the pole. No Vodafone mobile coverage on site or close-by (can't comment for other networks) TV service via the bollard very limited so if you want a lot of TV channels take a dish. Nice area and lovely beaches.

Great Site

Have just spent a week at this site, although weather could have been better, but we did have some lovely sunny days, and this enabled us to walk our dogs on the lovely beach which is just over the road from the site. The site is very good as all club sites are, if you want peace and quite and the company of other likewise people this is the place to go. The site is well kept and wardens are very friendly and have time to pass the time of day, I've heard that they are refurbishing the toilet blocks this year and this is very welcome, as there are only 3 showers and toilets and looking a bit dated and tired.Overall a good location and would certainly be returning again.

review after a recent visit

Negative Points:- Its in a valley surrounded by hills and trees so views are strictly limited from the site. There is no mobile or internet signal on site and TV reception is poor even when plugged into the sites aerial points. The site has 2 toilet and shower blocks with 3 showers and toilets in each. Insufficient at busy times so expect to Que. The toilets have cheap plastic seats which slip and slide all over the place when you go to sit on them. The only shop or restaurant/bar is in the holiday camp next door. Otherwise the nearest pub is approx a mile away up a steep hill. Its approx 6 miles from Temby which does have shops/ restaurants etc. Hard standing pitches are limited and you have to park your car in front of your caravan parallel with the road as they are not big enough to park alongside your van. The site office which sells milk and icecream is only open for a hour or so in the morning and afternoon. Its closed at other times. The wardens will not allow new arrivals until after 1pm which is strictly enforced. Its a steep hill down to the site. Plus points:- It has a good dog friendly beach just across the road from it and its on the Pembrokeshire coastal pathway. The site is generally kept clean and tidy. The site warden tells me the site is due for 1.5 million revamp at the end of this year 2015. i.e. one shower/ toilet block to be replaced and hard standings to be made bigger. So look out for a mention of it in the club magazine.

dogs allowed

we were told we could have a dog garden to enable our 5 dogs being safe for others. they were not dangerous. we confirmed at the office if we could erect the fence. was told after thinking that it was ok as long as we stayed in our pitch area. Unfortunately when we started to erect. a warden came and were told that the only way could we erect our garden which we did respect that we didn't go overboard with fence. it was a Cornish Windbreakers. was told we had to put it along and close to the awning due to fire regs. we did have a large porch awning. but if we had done as requested we would have been stuck in the awning as no way out. so although everybody was very pleasant. we had to take it down. so unfortunately we wouldn't be able to return to the site if we have dogs.

Great Site

Have just spent a week at freshwater East and and thought It was one of the best club sites I have visited.Especially good for walkers and dog owners with a dog friendly beautiful beach close by. The wardens made us very welcome and the facilities were as usual of a high standard.

Fantastic Holiday

This site has to be one of the best in the country close to sea, beach and axcess to coastal paths with stuning scenery, a pub Freshwater Inn that is dog freindly is in close reach by walk along sand dunes or by road The site is very well kept by friendly wardens and Dave the cat ! one very loved and well fed wild cat We will be back and a must for anyone that has not been here
