A nice site, usual spotless facilities, but, be careful where you pitch as you could be quite a distance from them, even though there are two blocks.
Great position close to beach, beautiful coastal walking. Stock up on food before you arrive as supermarkets quite a distance.
We had a grass pitch that could be a problem in longer spells of rain. Overall, lovely site in a great position.
Love It
You cant beat Freshwater East, wardens, brillant, professional, friendly, helpful. New facilities OK and clean. Great that you cant get internet and mobile signal all the time. It is what it is. Great beach, dog friendly. Weather unpredictable as ever. LOVE IT.
Fab location
Beautiful area but poor facilities for the number of pitches - 3 male toilets in the new block for too many men in such a large area! Cleanliness and wardens excellent. Insufficient hard standings, water points and chemical toilet points. In such a step area, it was too far for anyone other than the fittest. As another reviewer said, wi-fi and mobile connection should now be standard (I need to remain contactable as I have an elderly, poorly Mum and we were on a much needed break, so it would have made it much easier). We would visit again (with the proviso of again booking a serviced pitch) only because it was such an amazing and fabulous area (we did visit a few alternatives/CLs while we were there as a back-up plan).

Welcome Refurbishment but could do Better
We spent a delightful couple of weeks here with the grandchildren. The real plusses were local beach ,no mobile signal and almost non existent internet connection which meant the children had to do normal things like swimming, playing games and generally making their own entertainment. The refurbishment of the shower blocks was long overdue and welcome but what a shame that more use could not have been made of the floor space in the top block. This has 3 only toilet cubicles which is totally unsatisfactory for the numbers to be provided for. With a little better planning of the floor space it would have been perfectly feasible to incorporate a further 2 cubicles into the block at little cost. Talking to the staff there ,who were excellent, they ,apparently raised this issue early in the refurbishment work programme but their suggestions were discounted. Perhaps CC management should rethink their policy on staff engagement! Notwithstanding this, great time had by all and will definitely re-visit even if the wait for the loos is a discomfort on times.

Lovely site unless you want to communicate!
Well positioned site in a valley and within a short walking distance to a lovely sandy beach. The site has had an expensive refurbishment this year but there is still plenty of mud on the non-hard pitches and even to access the hookups. The toilet/shower blocks are excellent, but a bit of a trek for some, and there is a good dog walk. We are dog owners, but there were too many on site (one pitch was home to 5 large dogs) and we feel there should be some considered restrictions.
The wardens are great (take no notice to the anonymous adverse comments about them in the visitors book - what cowards these members must be!. There are, however, downsides here: The wardens can't or won't offer newspapers (shop is at least 2 miles away) and there is no visiting fish & chip van. Whilst the lack of any mobile signal is posted by the Club, we think it is unacceptable that wi-fi is only available by paying to an external provider, particularly when a local pub provides it for the price of a pint. We paid £22 per night and it is time that this included wi-fi alongside the electricity & water. You also need a TV aerial lead if you want terrestrial TV.

Lovely site
Lovely site on this beautiful welsh coastline. 5 min walk to the beach, very dog friendly all year round. The Facilities on the site were fab, very clean, showers so good you won't want to leave them!!
Great location to visit Barafundle Bay and Bosherton Lilly ponds plus too many other places to mention.
The Freshwater Inn is so friendly - the owners love dogs - nice bar food too!
Wardens were very helpful and friendly. Would certainly go back.
LOVED IT
This site was amazing loved every minute so much to see in the area. We spent August Bank Holiday here and had a lovely time, the only problem was that it wasn't long enough. We have decided we will definitely go back next time make sure it's for longer. I would recommend this site to anyone, the wardens were lovely the site was well presented, smashing
Fab site
Just had a 5 night stay here, was the first time at this site was well impressed and will be returning, lovely shower blocks nice wide cubicles, fantastic for the dogs as there are so many beautiful walks around the area, short drive to many local places.
