This site is immaculate & well sited to explore the fabulous hidden spots around the Pembrokeshire coast line. The site was very quiet when we visited at the end of the season. We were a tad disappointed with the faded road marking & irregular signposting which led to my wife getting a earful for driving the wrong way on a one-way section. I was also surprised at the low No of wc's compared to shower cubicles in the new male toilets - It's easier to wait for a shower ! Also note that there is no TV reception, so you'll need to have 20m of coax with male plugs fitted handy to use the site outlets.

Wonderful location, minutes from a dog friendly beach and the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.
Hardstanding pitches are excellent but grassed areas badly need additional drainage.
Plenty of other beaches within striking distance. Try Angle Bay (and it's café)

Wonderful place
We stayed here at the end of September for a week and thoroughly enjoyed it. The facilities are immaculate (site has just been renovated this year). Plenty of room in the showers, usual caravan club good toilet block etc. The best part of the holiday was being so close (2 minutes from the entrance of the site) to the beach. This is dog friendly and when we were there fortunately everyone seemed to pick up after their dogs. Lovely friendly atmosphere on the campsite - everyone seemed happy to be there. Some dog friendly pubs etc locally and even Pembroke Castle can now be visited with your canine companion. We will be back!
Great Location.......BUT
Great site, great location, helpful wardens. However better signage and warnings are needed for the blue-green algae, that was in the stream on the Freshwater Beach. A beach great for dogs, but we let ours paddle and drink. He was sick for hours, the vet at Pembroke was good and more visits needed now we are back home. Only £200 so far! A sign at the camp site may prevent others from making the same mistake we did.
Lovely site
We have just had a week on this site my husband and I with the dog and you can't fault this site, the toilets and showers were excellent, the site was very clean. The only down side was the internet that was a bit on and off. My husband was disappointed that there was no phone signal unless he walked off the site to the beach as he needed to be in touch with work even though we are on holiday. If you don't mind no signal which personally I don't then this site is excellent. I would come again even if I left the husband at home.

Late September at Freshwater East
My wife and I spent a week at the site at the end of September. We were lucky to have a spell of dry weather.
The site itself is well maintained and the toilet facilities are excellent. The site suited our needs to the Tee. We do stay on club sites during the school holidays, but prefer the peace and quiet when the children are back in school.
The wardens on site are friendly and helpful and were hard at work maintaining the standards throughout our time there.
The dog walk area at the site is adequate, but not the best. However, a short walk away affords access to a wonderful dog friendly beach which we frequented twice a day, with our adult Schnauzer dog and two thirteen week old Schnauzer pups, all of whom had a wonderful time running on the sands.
The surrounding area offers great walks along the Pembroke-shire coastal path and the seaside resorts of Tenby and Saudersfoot are a short drive away.
This was our first visit to the site and we certainly were not disappointed. Freshwater East will undoubtedly become a firm favourite in the coming years.
Excellent Location
Just returned from a 10 day break at this lovely site. Only a few minutes walk to a great sandy beach which is dog friendly. Great places to visit nearby - try also Angle (20 minutes drive) again dog friendly with an adjacent cafe with lovely food. Only downsides, as already mentioned, were that only 3 male toilet cubicles in the upper toilet block and no chemical disposal point at this block. Otherwise facilities were very clean and up to the usual caravan club standard
