Easter Break

First time to stay on this site. Stayed for 3nights over Easter and found the site very clean and tidy. The toilets were emasculatly clean and the showers piping hot. The site was within easy walking distance from a superb sandy beach where dogs are allowed on .The wardens were friendly and polite .Will be staying here again highly recommended.

yes but

Just spent a few days here in the week before Easter. The site has been recently upgraded so some of the earlier adverse comments may be obsolete. Certainly the toilet blocks are now first class. However what is now a bit off-putting is the large number of sleeping policemen (not shown in any of the publicity photos). Are they really necessary? How many accidents have there been in the past to justify them? This seems to be part of a safety drive as there are now a number of notices reminding us that safety is important. Do we really need that drumming into us? My only encounter with the warden was on arrival because I ducked under the entrance barrier - not noticing the footpath gate which to my opinion had been installed on the wrong side of the road. So I got a safety warning as my first greeting. I noticed that next new arrival did just the same thing. It is this sort of culture that has enabled the Camping & Caravan Club to call itself 'The Friendly Club'. Nevertheless, a super location.

Immaculate site

Visited over the Easter break, the site was beautifully maintained and very clean. All hardstanding pitches were booked and the showers were quite busy, even though all the grass pitches were empty. The beach is fantastic, brilliant for dogs. The Longhouse bar, friendly, good hot chocolate on the way back from the beach, had a pizza one evening, busy night but the food was tasty, hot and came quite quickly. Very quiet location, suited us for three night but if you are thinking of going in a Motorhome and don't have other transport make sure you take everything you need as there isn't anything else within reasonable walking distance.

Fantastic setting close to the beach

Spent a long lazy weekend here at the end of March. Weather was excellent so we were able to take advantage of this great spot. Lovely dog friendly beach and sand dunes for walks and the coastal path runs above the beach. Some great photo opportunities. Wardens do a great job of keeping the site clean and well maintained.

Great beachside location

We booked this site for a one night getaway in Pembrokeshire and were delighted with all aspects of the site from location to cleanliness, amenities and friendliness of the wardens. It was so nice to be close to the beach and the tranquillity of the countryside surrounding the site itself. We will definitely be returning to this site in the future.

A lovely week!

We spent a lovely week here returning on 31st March. The wardens were very welcoming and were out and about working on the site all week, always ready for a bit of a chat. The closeness of the dog friendly beach was great, and our Jakey got two great walks a day, one short, one long depending on the tide! Away from the site we visited Tenby, Stackpole and the wonderful Pembroke castle, a bargain at £6 per visitor and also dog friendly. We will definitely be returning to this site.

Excellent site

Thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay and actually extended it ! Pleasant and helpful staff and excellent facilities. The close proximity of the site to the Pembrokeshire coast path and local dog friendly beach was perfect for our needs . The only down side to the site, although it did not bother us unduly, was the firing from the Castlemartin range which actually shook the ground and on occasion carried on well into the night ! Neither us or our dog were particularly bothered by this but some might be. We will be making this one of our regular sites without doubt !

As a first time caravanning for us it was a most pleasurable experience, it started with a warm greeting from the staff then only got better from then onwards with a nice sandy beach only 2 minutes walk from the site excellent felicities on the site its self, we would not hesitate to go back again and again.
