We stayed on this site for 7 nights. A very busy site, seemed to be full most of the time. So close to a lovely sandy beach, with no dog restrictions - a real bonus. 2 toilet blocks, the one at the far end of the site being recently refurbished, this one and the one at the near end both with good facilities and kept very clean and tidy. Many of the h/s pitches are huge, especially toward the far end of site with those toward the entrance end being a bit small but still adequate. We found the doggie walk a bit hazardous with very long and high brambles & stinging nettles, which has much narrowed the walk. You get quite wet when it rains. Also the doggie bins at the end of the walk tend to get very full and overflow. Another drawback is the lack of service points, especially along the middle row at the far end. You either have to lug your grey water round to either the top road or the bottom road, or all the way along to the toilet block. A huge drawback is the fact there is no chemical emptying point in the new toilet block! So once again you have to take it to one of the service points.
Nice site but.....

Peace and quite.
I stopped on this site over the may day bank holiday. This is the second time I have been to this site.
The site was very busy, but the noise level was ok.
Once again the wardens were a credit to the caravan motor-home club.
Toilets were pristine clean, and plenty of hot water.
I think the TV hook up could be improved, 5 channels is not a lot. This needs to be improved.
My only concern was the cost for that week is high (Β£161) for six nights, when i am going to New England bay in September, which is cost (Β£91). quite a difference.
Overall a good site.

Perfect when the sun shines.
We visited this site in the first week of April 2017. We were very impressed with the new site facilities which were spotless and warm. The staff were friendly and helpful. The site was quiet initially but soon filled up as schools finished for the Easter holidays. We were incredibly lucky with weather which meant we could fully enjoy the adjacent beach and breathtaking scenery. As a family, we decided that Pembrokeshire would now be a first choice before Devon or Cornwall. The site is ideally placed for a selection of wonderful beaches and recommend the nearby National Trust Stackpole Estate and Coastal Walk (includes Barafundle Beach and Bosherton Lilly Ponds). We would also recommend visiting Tenby and Saundersfoot which are nearby. Absolutely no phone signal and TV very limited and available via hook up bollard or satellite.
Lovely beach site
We stayed on Freshwater East site second week in May. The route in is well described by the CMC handbook. There are some narrow roads on the route to Lamphey and the hill on approach to the site is steep, but very doable with care, up and down. Very good weather so this always enhances a stay. Meet and greet very good, wardens helpful, friendly and have a sense of humour. First visit here and the third site in a months tour of South Wales. Facilities have been upgraded and were spotless and such a pleasure to use. For us with two dogs, the dog friendly beach was so convenient. Lots of lovely places around to visit. Manobier castle, church and beach was a delight. The national trust was nearby and we parked at stackpole Quay and took the lovely cliff walk to Barafundle Bay and then to Bosherton lily ponds. Pembroke town is lovely and a 'must' to visit as is the castle. We shopped at Pembroke Quay. Didn't try the local Freshwater Inn but people we spoke to had enjoyed meals there. We had a tea time drink at the long house pub adjacent to the site. We had a lovely seven days there and were sad to leave. We will definately return.

Great site in a great location
We stayed her for 5 nights at the end of April. We booked a serviced pitch prior to our visit. The site is easy to get to and no problems towing although the roads can get quite narrow, that's probably why they have a 1300 hours check in. The site is a long thin and means you have to walk a bit further than some other sites to get anywhere. Not a problem for us, but worth mentioning so you can pick a pitch that matches your mobility.
The facilities and site is well maintained and very clean.
The TV works with TV leads so make sure you have one before you go. The internet was okay but as usual if a lot of people are using it then is slows down. We were down at the serviced pitch area and our mobile telephone signal was non existent. I did find that if you walked to the top tier of pitches (tent bit) then I could get service (Vodafone).
There is a little dog walk on site, its very short but adequate for the quick morning pee walk.
The location of the site is the big winner, you walk out of the site and you're on the beach and the Pembrokeshire Coastal walk.
What a fantastic part of the Country, reminded me very much of Cornwall. We did loads of walks around the Pembrokeshire Coastal area. Lots of lovely hidden beaches in the area. Check the internet for free walks.
Its an easy drive to Tenby which is beautiful.
Lots of beaches for dogs in the area too, although there are restrictions from May to September on some.
We had a great time and I'm sure we will be re-visiting soon.
Great site .
We have been going to this site for over 25 years first with children and the as a couple and it suits both .
We really wanted one of the new service pitches this time as we were there for 7 days but they were booked for the 2 days at the weekend right in the middle of 7 days .The week end came and the were at least 3 available ( people booking and cancelling I presume ?) . At least half the pitches were taken up by motorhomes and they only used the electric and tv connection none connected to the water or the waste . Motorhomes have a dedicated waste dumping area why use a service pitch?.
Had my moan love the site great walks Fresh Water Inn for food what could be better .
