This is the second time we have stayed at this site this year and it won't be the last. Normally we put our van to bed after September but she's staying up a bit longer because we are coming up here again.
We had a lovely time here in August which was only spoiled by some numpty in the adjacent houses playing very loud music from two in the afternoon till gone ten thirty at night. No consideration for anyone. I would hate to be their neighbour!
Anyway the site was brilliant as usual. everything clean and tidy. Phil the warden never seemed to stop working, I got tired just watching him everyday. Kris his wife could not do enough to help you and it was carried out with a smile and and a kind word. These wardens are a breath of fresh air and made our stay just that bit more memorable.
I would definitely recommend this site for people looking for a site with easy access to the local town and as a base for touring the adjacent country side.
Well done Kris and Phil!!!
Great Site-Highly Recommend
Great Site, very helpful Site Wardens , toilets very clean, site immaculate, will be back here very soon,
Another good stay
Been here numerous times site always immaculate and made even better by the glorious sunshine.
We would recommend this site to anyone if you have not tried it then do so at the first opportunity.
Everything is on the doorstep, park, Loch with great 2.5 mile circular walk, shops and supermarkets.
Unlike some other reviewers we have alway found everyone to be really friendly and a large percentage dog owners the majority being well behaved and on lead or tied up.
Will be back again soon.
Motorhomer
Stopped here on our road home after visiting the 'North' of Scotland, found it to be a clean well run family orientated site. We hope to return in the future.
Not for us
Only stayed 1 night enroute to Highlands. The site is well looked after but it had a municple feel, location near the loch was quite urban and the country park surrounding it was very busy with locals. There was rather a lot of noise from the town and local sports complex the night we stayed. What really put me off was the high number of seagulls from the Loch and the area around our pitch was covered in duck and goose poo. Not very nice especially when you have a dog with you.. sorry we just didn’t like it.
Great well maintained site
First visit to this site and will definitely be returning site well maintained great pitch size, and toilet blocks new and very cleaned and warm and right on the loch for a good walk park right next door for the kids
Not dog friendly
Was enjoying our stay then my miniture jack russell was nipped by a dog that was not on lead my dog was on lead and tied to our plot by lead stake .I then went with my dog for a walk and was crossing the site when he stopped and had little bit of toilet that i was picking up when i was shouted at by owner spoken to very rudely and told that i should not allow my dog to do this and you are not aloud to walk your dog in park !I did not get chance to explain byt said we were on our way out when it happened and i picked it up ,i have never aloud my dog to fowel anywhere and not pick it up .They are more in need to clamp down on the amount of dogs roaming the site lead free i also saw dog owners letting there dogs do there buisness beside there vans and on speaking to someone who left at same time as us they saw yhis as well and were shocked at way i was treated no one can tell when there dog is going to go and how are you suppost to get off site with your dog if your not allowed to walk over it to get out .Will certanly not be back and would not reccomend to dog lovers like myself .

Excellent site with superb position next to Loch
This was our second visit and found the site immaculate. The nearby Loch provides excellent walks for humans and dogs. Forfar itself is a bit of a one horse town, but supermarkets are nearby. Ideal base for Glamis.
Return trip to Forfar
Had a return visit to Forfar, the site is very convenient for the local shops in the town. Nice walks around the loch but in need of bit off cutting back on some paths, the wardens were great nothing to much trouble for them. Even disgruntled campers didn't,t upset Phil. Would return again as this site ticks all the boxes. For my needs but don't take my word for it go and see for yourself.
