doggy heaven

What a super site. Not far from town but so near to the Loch and country park which was ideal for dog walking. Shops withiin walking distance for everyday necessities and well positioned for touring in the area. Found the rsidents and staff to be very friendly and helpful with good spacing between pitches.

No etiquette !!

Spent a glorious 4 nights on this delightful site over the late May bank holiday weekend first two nights were fine didn't see our neighbours on the Monday a gentleman on his own arrived mid morning set his van up parked his car up as per CC instructions then got his two chairs out and placed them on the grass right outside our caravan door then the whirlygig arrived and was promptly hammered down !!! The close proximity of this gentleman made it very uncomfortable for us to sit out ourselves with any degree of privacy in my opinion he should have placed his seats at the other side of his van therefore bothering nobody if we had put our awning up we would have had to step over him to get out !! Is it too much to ask to consider others when choosing where to set up your outside seating ?

Fantastic Site

This is a fantastic caravan site with lovely clean facilities.  We having been coming to this site for over 10 years. Brian and Sandra are Friendly, helpful and hardworking wardens who take pride in keeping the site immaculate. Thank you. Looking forward to our next visit. David and Isabel Wood, Scottish Borders.

First Visit

We have some friends in the area and have always struggled to find a good site over the years. This site was ideal being in walking distance to the town and next to the country park for our dog. Really good facilities for children on site and in the park. Being near to the A90 makes it easy to visit places over a wide area. Lovely walk from the centre of Kirriemuir to the RSPB reserve. Would visit again. An excellent location

Can't fault it

The people are very friendly and the site is spotless and secure. Good proximity to town yet it feels close to nature with the loch. Direction signs not very good.

April visit

Lovely site, close to the town and obviously the country park. Warm welcome from the wardens with a lovely friendly feel to the site. Facilities very well maintained. Pity about the weather as it became cold and tried to snow on several occasions, but that was well outside the Club's control!

Affects of the travelling people

We have been to Lochside Caravan Park several times and usually enjoy our visits. The park is well maintained and the wardens are helpful. Sadly for the second time we had to cut our visit short due to the arrival of the travelling people in the adjoining park. This will deter us from returning.

Our first caravanning trip!

Having just bought a caravan for the very first time, this site was our first trip out with it....and the whole experience exceeded our expectations! We got a very warm welcome on arrival and made to feel that none of our questions were silly. Spotlessly clean and peaceful....what more can you ask! Lovely evening meal at the Chapelbank Hotel on the first night and traditional Forfar Bridies the next night....bliss! Looking forward to further visits.

Lovely Site

We had a lovely stay just before Easter. The site was very quiet when we were there but is very popular judging by the caravans arriving as we left. The facilities are excellent. The wardens keep the site clean and the toilet block and washing up area are spotless. The nearby loch is great for dog walking and bird watching and if you have kids there is a super playground just outside the site. Forfar is just a 5 minute walk away with a variety of shops and places to eat.  A very enjoyable stay.
