Holiday.

We stayed for five nights in September, nice staff that were very helpful. The site is perfect for walks with plenty to see and do. The only thing was the internet,it worked well till we got to the weekend then that was it till Monday, I think if you are charging for something at least make sure it is fit for purpose, the other thing was a break in to a campers trailer on our last night, spoke to a warden the next morning only to be told this is a ongoing problem they have. Sad really as its a lovely site to visit, would we use it again? Yes no problem.

Wow - worth more than 5 starS

We only stayed here for one night - used it as a stopover visiting relatives. Fantastic welcome from the lady in reception - made to feel so welcome and a really valued customer, even though only there for one night. Site was immaculate, as were the facilities. Will definitely come back for a longer break. Right next to Nene Country park, which is a amazing. Added to that, they sell lovely homemade cakes in reception!

Peace and quiet

Have just recently stayed at this site on the west side and had a lovely two week stay. Friendly staff work hard to keep the site clean and tidy and it is so peaceful and quiet. We have visited 2 other CMC sites since restrictions were lifted and this site has the best “band procedures” for use of the toilet/shower facilities. A small bucket with sanitizer and five bands in it outside the ladies/men’s blocks, take a band on the way in and a large notice on the way out reminds you to replace the band in the bucket. Other sites use a hook system outside the blocks we’re you place your band on a hook on the way in and REMEMBER to collect it on the way out - frequently doesn’t happen and your left queuing for no reason. Nene park which is next to the site is a really lovely place to walk, cycle or just sit and watch the wildlife on one of the 3 big lakes. Within easy road links for places to visit, we look forward to returning next year.

Great Site

We recently stayed here for 2 nights while visiting some friends. We opted to stay in the adults only area & it was lovely and quiet. Perfect location for walking our dog around Ferry Meadows which is a fabulous walk. We will definitely come back, faultless.

Great place something for almost anyone

We have had 3 visits to this site over the last couple of months only used the facilities a couple of times as we use our own in caravan All staff are great and also have a great sense of humour and really polite Nene park itself has lots of walking and cycling great cafe and visitors centre which also gives you duck food for a donation so great for the little ones Great place if you wish to venture a little further into some nearby places I would highly recommend although we are relatively new to caravaning it didn’t disappoint we love it the only thing is as I said we’ve been 3 times now and know we have to try other places but keep saying it may be a disappointment if we go somewhere else and it’s not as nice Give it a go it’s really nice

A wonderful Place to stay

We stayed at Ferry Meadows this is our favourite site. The wardens are especially very good and made our stay even nicer as usual, they are very friendly and made us very welcome. I TAKE MY HAT OFF TO THEM ALL through these difficult times COVID-19 trying to make it a very safe place to stay. The wardens work so very hard. I just wish that all the club sites could have wardens like the ones at Ferry Meadows. Again thankyou for such an amazing peaceful and quiet stay that was so very relaxing. Steve & Annie Turner

Superb Site

A belated review, as our stay was pre-Coronavirus lockdown. We were so lucky to have chosen this site as our first-ever caravan experience, having just picked up our caravan from the retailers and driven straight there. The location was really handy for walks around Ferry Meadows or a walk into town. The toilets and showers were excellent - plenty of power in the showers and very clean. The onsite wardens were amazing, one gentleman (Alan?) on hearing we were first-timers gave us loads of advice and hints about caravanning and maintenance. To be honest, we haven't since found a site to beat Ferry Meadows - just a pity it's only 13 miles from our home or we'd be going back there regularly.

5* -- EXCELLENCE

Ferry Meadows (Highly recommended) remains our favourite site -- perfect for families/children and pet owners and set right beside the beautiful Nene Park. Safe cycling off site; lovely walks; lakes; wildlife and within easy reach of town. Toilet/Shower facilities are immaculately clean and the wrist band system worked well for us during our recent 2 stays during Covid 19. Shame on those who have criticised Alan; he works tirelessly with his team of excellent staff to ensure everyone enjoys the Site of which he is so proud of and keeps everyone safe; then again -- you can't please everyone!!! Huge thanks to you Alan and to your team.

Enjoyable stay

Recently returned from an enjoyable 5 night stay at Ferry Meadows. We arrived approximately 30 minutes before check in, and as others have stated, we were directed off the site to wait in a layby nearby. This was slight disappointing as it meant we then had to set up in torrential rain but I understand its the site rules. After reading some of the previous reviews we were slightly wearing about meeting the infamous wardens, but we had nothing to worry about! All the staff we encountered were friendly and went out of their way to help us. The site was well maintained and kept clean. The band system seemed to work well except on occasions when people forgot to put them back in the bucket. Kids loved the park and spent most of their time there when we were on site. For us the location was excellent. There was plenty to do near by meaning we only had to unhook the van once for a day out. We decided to cut out trip short due to the storm but that was no fault of the site and we look forward to visiting again in the future.

Latest trip

Just returned from yet another fabulous trip to Ferry Meadows. I did have a fall on the second night sustaining some horrible facial and forehead injuries. Saw Allen the following morning and we had a right old laugh. He made a point of seeing me most days to ensure I was OK I presume. I cant believe some of the earlier reviews about Allen, he was very concerned about me, very helpful, played with our dog in a very nice way, overall, a great guy who says it as it is, and respected his customers, certainly not in a nasty or derogatory way. All the staff were very helpful, a lovely clean and secure site, as always. One side is very children orientated, due to the large playground area, the other more sedate and relaxed and certainly quieter area, more suited to adults only. Would definitely recommend Ferry Meadows to others.
