A real gem

Peace and quiet, helpful, friendly wardens, spotlessly clean facilities and a lovely setting. What more can you want. There is even a pub in walking distance. Great for dog owners. If you haven't stayed here you don't know what you are missing!

Lovely peaceful site

Small but lovely and peaceful site with excellent facilities, all spotlessly clean. The friendly wardens could not be more helpful - nothing is too much trouble. Added bonus is a delightful pub less than 10 minutes stroll through the woods - just remember a torch for the return to camp ...!

What a lovely find

Beautiful quiet site. Great location. Feels like you're in the middle of nowhere but a 5 minute walk through the woods to the pub (fun at night - take a torch!) Petts Level nearby was gorgeous. Easy to get to Hastings, Rye etc. Big shout out to the wardens who couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Peace and quiet

A very peaceful relaxing site not ideal for young families. Plenty of walking in the area and cycling close by. Never had to Waite for the shower.

Tucked away amongst the trees with great dog walking

just returned from a weeks stay. The shade from the trees gave relief from the heat. This site would definitely benefit from being an adult only site to retain its peaceful and relaxing feel. Our dog loves the great walks in the woods. The food in the pub was great. Rye must be seen.

Compact site within the trees

A nice compact site with great friendly wardens.  Facilities clean and modern and there was never any queues. We found the pitches tight.  Ours was hedged each side which was great for privacy but meant we couldn't fit the car down the side of the caravan so had to leave it in the car park.   We were also under trees and suffered when it rained heavily during the night!   A nice 5 min walk through the woods to the pub and a short drive to Pett Level beach - quiet, shingle and rock pools when tide went out. Overall a nice peaceful site and a lovely week but but not the most spacious.

First four nights of Campervanning!

Our first four nights on a Caravan Club site. The facilities are good and typical if the Club. Good aspects were the helpful and friendly warden, the quiet site (even with a number of families on site), the local pub an easy walk away and serving top real ales and food and the nearby Hastings, Pett Level, Rye Harbour etc. We hadn't realised that between the site and Hastings was a 500ft sea cliff so cycling was a challenge but the nature reserve there is a treasure as is the Rye Harbour Nature Reserve. Would return as there was lots more to explore.

Stayed here for 8 nights in July , had perfect weather . Great for dog walking and visiting the two sawers pub lovely food and dog friendly . We did eat at the Royal Oak too but didn't enjoy it there .  Visited so many lovely places from this site . Would definitely return in future .
