One of the best

Fantastic site with woods all around very dog friendly. The wardens are so helpful and friendly, very quite site all of the time, only a short walk through the woods to a lovely pub, you will very happy with the food and service, we could only get booked in for 5 days would have loved to have stayed longer,there are some fantastic places to discover along that coast. If you don't mind a short drive head for Camber Sands great for children, if you are a dog owner when the tide is out you have super beaches to walk, don't park in the very expensive car parks, head down to the kitesurfing club there is a big free car park just past it. This is the second time we have stayed at this site. Lovely surroundings. Very helpful and pleasant wardens, who helped to extend our stay. We'll be back!

A lovely place to stay

We enjoyed our stay here. As a motorhome owner we didn't particularly want to take it off site so used the local bus into Hastings , Eastbourne  and Rye . Easy to sort with the help of Google and the wardens ! The wardens were lovely .... Thank you for your call offering us the awning site when it unexpectedly became available .  We enjoyed the walks from the site and the walk through the woods to the local pub .  As usual the facilities were spotless.  We had no trouble manoeuvring up and down the lane in our motorhome so don't be put off .

Nice Site

Good site to visit if you like walking especially if you have a dog as woodland immediately accessed. This suits us as we find limitations with parking and security off site with our motorcaravan. Found staff very pleasant and friendly.

Quite site

We have just arrived home from this site we enjoyed the peace and quite, the wardens were very helpful and cheerful. There were very nice walks all around the site in the woodland so nice for the dog lovers. You can walk up through the woods to the local Pub (Two Sawers) food was very good. I must commend the site on there very well equipped and clean Disabled Toilet it was very useful.

NICE SITE BUT;

A lovely site and a warm welcome .One problem is access to this site. Having a motorhome we had probs each time we left or returned to site with parked vehicles (vans) or on coming vehicles ie, with caravans or trailers . This road is not wide enough for the type of vehicles that use it .

Lovely relaxing break

We had a lovely few days here at the beginning of June and would definitely like to come again. As mentioned by another reviewer, the nearby pub is excellent and the butcher's shop is well worth a visit. The wardens were very friendly and helpful and the site is lovely.

Lovely Peaceful Site with Helpful Wardens

We had a lovely peaceful very dog friendly weekend, the facilities are very clean and the wardens are so helpful as the local entrance to woods opposite was padlocked and my husband uses a mobility scooter to get around.  The wardens contacted the forestry commission to try and get us access but no luck due to a kissing gate but they did there best......thank you it was very much appreciated as your rival club recently were so unhelpful with a similar situation earlier this year.  Lovely country park nearby which was disabled friendly........we will be back.

Wonderful Stay

What a find, this site gave us a really relaxed quiet stay in Sussex. The wardens, Clive & Margaret could not have been better hosts. The site was in superb order , with all facilities first rate. Narrow entrance road so beware arriving early, but well worh that wait. Local pub accessed through the wood is excellent as was local butcher shop in village. This is one will will deffinetly re-visit at some point.
