PERFECT FOR US.....

We chose this site for its close location to Rye and Hastings which we visited by cycle - be prepared for the steep hills! The site itself was excellent and the two warders Clive and Margaret gave a first class service throughout. We found the facilities of the shower block etc to be among the best we've ever seen in three years of touring and the pitch was level and very spacious. The Two Sawyers pub a 10 minute walk, if that from the site is excellent and the food great value for money.

First trip of the year

just spent a lovely weekend at this site, cannot fault the site it was kept spotlessly clean by the wardens. The wardens were both very friendly and helpful - the best I've come across at the caravan club for a long while. The site is not to far from hastings, rye and lovely pett.

What a great introduction to motorhoming!

Our very first trip in our new motorhome as complete novices. Warmly welcomed by wardens Clive and Margaret who showed us the ropes and were very helpful. A peaceful and idyllic spot surrounded by beautiful woods with safe trails for dog-walks and a dog-friendly pub just a short stroll away. Our family consists of dogs and was certainly good for them! We couldn't have asked for a better introduction to the joys of motorhoming and we hope to come back again soon.

An autumn break

Visited for the last few days of the 2016 season. A lovely small site hidden away in the woodland down a narrow lane. Wardens this year were extremely helpful, a road used on the access route was closed and we were called a couple of days before to explain the best way to get to the site. The day before our arrival a water main burst a few hundred yards from the site and again a friendly call to tell us about it. The facilities were spotless despite the autumn leaves falling all over the site. We are not dog owners but the area must be wonderful for those who are, lots of walks through the woods nearby. Not sure if teenage children not into walking and nature would appreciate the site as much as youngsters but as far as we are concerned it can't get much better than here, perhaps this is why we visit every year.

Fair stay in Fairlight

Warm welcome on arrival and pointed in direction of pitch. A problem with hook-up sorted very quickly and cheerily. Site is in heart of countryside and down narrow lanes. Great area to visit but difficultlt taking large motorhome due to height barriers on all carparks in the area. Parking is available on Sea Front at St Leonards or Bexhill-on-Sea. Very enjoyable stay here

Chillaxing break

A small quiet site tucked away in woodlands run and maintained by very friendly and welcoming wardens. The toilet/shower facilities were spotless at all times and the whole site maintained to a very high standard. If you need to take a quiet/relaxing break it'll tick all your boxes. 10minute walk to the village of Pett with two pubs serving food. A good base camp to go visiting the East Sussex/Kent area.

Perfect in every way

We had visited this site before although that was over 25 years ago but having just returned to Caravaning we made this site our first trip with our (New to us caravan) and two Border collies. This site is a must for Dog owners, there is direct access to the woods from the site which also has a marked path to the local pub & restaurant which is Dog friendly. Opposite the site entrance is another Woodland to walk your Dog's as well. The showers etc are spotless and the Warders are two of the nicest people you could wish to meet. If your looking for somewhere to use as a base to explore Sussex and are taking your pets you won't be disappointed.

A Relaxing, get away from it all break!

Run by the friendly, welcoming and approachable site owners Clive and Margaret, this site really is a joy to stay on. Tucked away down a narrow lane surrounded by woodland, you are wrapped in an oasis of peace and quiet. The site shop offers cards and gifts for your family as well as the normal groceries. As the last reviewer mentioned it's a great place to stay and our dogs loved every moment staying here. The toilet block is very modern and clean and the grounds are well kept. The site is well situated and not far from Rye,Hastings and other places. Pett Level Beach is a nice walk from the site. I will not hesitate recommending this peaceful and worthwhile site and would stay here again.

Still a great place

This is my second weekend spent here and I can confirm that it's one of the best ones for relaxing. As soon as you pull on site you are greated with a friendly smile and a very warm welcome. Some hotels out there should take a look how well this site is run. The staff are faultless in my book.  As a base for walking and exploring its ideal, I have sore feet to prove it!  The only distraction in this peace haven, was the sound of children playing behind and inbetween some of the caravans, (funnily, it wasn't around their own ones) , but it was the start of the school holidays. And I do believe in the saying that "children play and dogs bark"! So not a real problem.
