Top Site

Beautifully kept site, very clean toilets and washing/showering facilities, wardens were extremely friendly and helpful. Great location and easy walk into Dulverton, make sure you take cash with you if you go into Dulverton only we found a couple of shops are cash only, this included the local chip shop. The only small criticism i would have is that the signage into the camp site is not visible from the main road, you only see the sign once you are on the approach road down past the car park and fire station. Would without any doubt stay at this site again.

Excellent! lovely site

Spent a week here and loved the site (second visit - about 4 years since previous). Made very welcome by really friendly wardens and site was in tip-top condition. Nice and small site and easy to get to from major roads.Close to Exmoor and not too far from Exeter and Exmouth.

New Year at Dulverton

Stayed New Year 2016/17. Must have missed the mince pies on arrival. Very clean well kept site and as other reviewers have said busy. Great pitch with the river behind. All amenities in Dulverton easy walking distance. We had a meal new years eve in the Bridge very good value and lots of fun with the locals. Also New Years Day Woods restaurant was very busy and lovely food. Will definitely go back

New Year at Dulverton

Nice to find the site busy but with enough pitches left to choose from when we arrived on New Years Eve. Thank you to the wardens for the glass of wine, mince pie and the friendly chat with fellow vanners in reception. Good to find some shops still open over the holiday, Tantivy's were open for a coffee on New Years Day afternoon. Dulverton never really closes and if the weather's bad there are plenty of short strolls to enjoy around the town. Up on Exmoor on the way home the sun shone and the views were beautiful. Pleased we chose New Year at the Exmoor House site.

Lovely site

We visited between Christmas and new year. It is exceptionally clean and tidy. The wardens are really welcoming. We were surprised how busy the site was. Although on exmoor the site is easy to get to with good access, but be careful not to miss the turning the village is narrow and retracing the route could be tricky! The village is a really easy walk with pubs, fish and chips, Thai and a busy co op store. We really enjoyed our stay and will visit again soon.

Well kept and run

Nothing wrong at all but whilst location is great as a base we found the site felt a little hemmed in. Nothing against cleanliness, tidiness or helpfulness and pitch spacing is adequate.Maybe we just don't like valley settings. Dulverton is very pleasant with decent shops and pubs

Another week in Dulverton

Just finished another lovely week at Exmoor House. On arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome from the wardens, Sally and Kevin. The site was as usual in pristine condition. Facilities are second to none and there was plenty of pitch choice. Dulverton is a good centre for Exmoor and a very friendly town with excellent shops and eating choices. Recommend the Bridge Inn and Woods, and further afield the Swan at Bampton. Lovely walks in Dulverton both by the river and in the surrounding woods. Five minutes in the car and you are up on the moor for more good walking. Will be back in the spring, if not before. Our cattle dog loves it too !!!

A really beautiful location

After a couple of wrong turns,we arrived at Dulverton and had no difficulty finding the site. We were warmly welcomed by the warden and found the site to be nicely laid out. The facilities were excellent, spotlessly clean and tidy. The town centre was within easy and had everything you could need. We had lunch at The Bridge Inn and the staff were friendly, accommodating and the food was delicious. We found a lovely walk along the river and through the woods, but left it a little late in the day to walk to Tarr Steps. Sadly, storm Angus came in that night leaving many areas flooded and some destruction so we were unable to carry out our plans...we will be back. We loved the site, the area and the locals x

Good spot on Exmoor

Enjoyed a winter break here. Toilet blocks very warm and spotlessly clean. Wardens cheerful and very welcoming. Only slight problem signage for site hard to see have to see Exmoor house. Dulverton restaurants good and within walking distance. Recommend this sight for motor homes.
