We arrived at the site on time we had previously booked, as we turned in someone else had arrived just before us ,so instead of waiting in a queue as I had already booked a space I thought I would go on ahead and get set up and go along after and sort out payment. I was just about to unhook caravan when this overly officious warden came along and basically told me off and insisted we return back to the hut to pay accusing us of trying to get away with paying. My mum went along to the hut while I continued to unhook and she then got treated like a naughty child. I do not consider we were doing anything wrong and their attitude with as not acceptable they need to remember who pays their wages. Facilities were also not as clean as on previous visits, hand towels were not replenished and bin not emptied in baby changing room. They have also reduced the washing up facilities to just 2 sinks from the original 4. Will not be staying again for awhile.
Peaceful site
Peaceful site. Easy to access. Showers and toilets very clean. Staff very welcoming and helpful. A bit out of the way and no kids playground. Nearest beach in Exmouth. Close by American Diner offers HUGE meals at a very reasonable cost. Would stay again, but if you are wanting to get a parking spot in Exmouth, you need to go very early!

Good Camping Site
Easy access, plenty of space for all, great walking on site around the race course, nearby Spar shop for provisions. We have been for the race meetings, its great. Some road noise and if its windy its windy, you are on the top of Haldon Hill after all. If you are a camper it will suit just fine, we go from Cornwall to get away for a rest.Nearby Haldon forest off road biking paths really good.
Not the Best CC site
Wardens Nice, Location for surrounding area's good. Disabled Toilet/Shower room absolute Joke! Totally built wrong. Water just runs out of the door and misses the drain plug completely. Needs a complete refurb. If your second in line to use it you have to wade through water to get to the loo! Squeegy does not do the job! Communal washbasins in the main block rather than separate cubicles not ideal either. No Wifi available. Not the normal Caravan Club standards i'm afraid.

Third time
We have just had our third visit to Exeter and what a lovely place it is. The facilities may not be the most luxurious but they are adequate and kept clean. The views and dog walking areas are brilliant if a little breezy at times. The nearby Spar shop at the garage served us well.
Good Site
Lovely site. The wardens were very welcoming and helpful. Facilities on site very clean and well kept as you expect on cc sites.Excellent location for touring Devon and Cornwall, would definitely visit again.
Short break
Lovely site friendly wardens. Will be returning for sure. Loved walking with dog along the path around the course. Ideal location for site seeing. Lovely views across moors. Site is in lovely condition cut grass and picked up.
GREAT SITE
We stayed at this site for a few day and were very impressed. The wardens - Christine & Colin - were very friendly and welcoming, the site was well kept and cared for and the toilet block, although not very modern, was beautifully clean and up to the normal CC standards.
We will definitely stay here again.

Excellent kept site
We stayed here while the completion of our house went through, we found it very well kept and for a change the weather was quite good!!
We do not use facilities as prefer to use our own bur I did look in the toilets and they looked and smelt very clean.
We will definitely be staying here again to visit family
CENTRAL LOCATION FOR TOURING SOUTH DEVON
We spent 7 days on this site, which a good location to explore the surrounding area. However, during our stay it was very windy most of the time. The site is very open, without screen planting, which would have broken the wind a little. As for the toilet block, whilst clean, it is very 1970's, very poor showering area, in particular, so much so we used our own shower. Unfortunately, we shall not be rushing back to this site!
