Hi just had three days at Exeter great site very relaxing great for dogs facilities basic but spotless would recommend this site just off M5
Good stopover
We stopped at Exeter Racecourse site on our way back home to Cornwall after our trip up the South Coast.
This is our second time at the site, and we find it a convenient stopover site right off the A38.
We stopped on a Sunday and spent an entertaining hour looking round the car boot sale. Facilities were fine and we will probably come again!!

Exeter
Used this as a stop over to the West Country. Great location, easy to get in and out. Relief wardens were great and helpful (provided fresh eggs and bacon for breakfast). Site great for dogs. facilities a little tired but very clean. A bit of noise from the A30 but quieter at night.

While looking for property in Exeter we have been staying at the race course very clean very helpfull ,just found out we can use the american diner but not on a Sunday when the carboot is on!!!
Exeter Racecourse
We stopped at this site for one night only, en route to Newquay. Site access is excellent, the facilities are clean and maintained to a high standard. Unfortunately whilst pitching the van I unscrewed the jockey wheel far too much, causing the whole thing to collapse, leaving the towbar flat on the ground. Newby error I'm afraid!. We asked Colin the Site Warden for advice, and what a star he was, not only did he help put the jockey wheel back into place, he showed me how to position it and secure it for future reference. Another tip to log into the memory bank, thank you so much Colin.
Good for families central location
we had a wonderful time at the site with one or two problems but the wardens helped by making calls for us and didn't mind being woken at 02:00 for a medical emergency all in all the site is very good one downside we have Greyhounds and would have liked somewhere to let them run rather than having to keep them on there leads at all times
One to explore in the future
We used this as a stop over between a rally and a minimum facilities CC site
Plenty of open space to explore if we had had the time
Only downside was we specifically wanted to use the site to do some washing but the machine only washes cold as no hot water plumbed in The CC should have made this clear in their info as we might have chosen another site! Clean site with very friendly warden!
Very Enjoyable Visit
On arrival we were made very welcome by the wardens who extremely friendly. They were very helpful and provided all the information we asked for during our stay. The site is situated at the top of the hill with lovely views out over the Haldon Forest and although near the A38 this was not intrusive. The reception area, site and facilities were spotless and the flowers in the reception area garden were absolutely beautiful. A very enjoyable visit.

Lovely Site
This is a very nice site. The facilities are a little dated but kept super clean by the wardens. We could not have been made more welcome and found them friendly, helpful and efficient. The 2 washing up sinks and the 2 laundry sinks we found very useful and adequate for our needs. We found it easy to get to the touristy things and villages we wanted to see on the moors. We found this a very quiet site despite it being so close to the A38 and would not hesitate to stay here again and hope to in the near future.

Open spaces
Easy to find off the M5 motorway a big open spaced site on the inner ring of Exeter Racecourse. Reception area that sells some local produce and essentials. Good open spaces for kids to play and excellent for dog walkers. Inner road around racetrack approximately 2 miles long. Other small tracks through heath-land. Toilet and shower block of a good standard and kept very clean. Wardens are very friendly and helpful. Local Spar shop in service station about 10 minutes walk. Also an American type diner and take away with free WiFi in same location, although not dog friendly. Ten minutes drive to Exeter and about twenty minutes or so drive to Torquay. Disappointing that there was no WiFi access on site but good mobile phone reception.
