Just what the doctor ordered

First time on this site and area. Great campsite, staff very friendly and the facilities are great. Spent a lost couple of hours in the games room on the arcade machines. The weather was not that good, but we found plenty to do in the area. Numerous cream teas and seaside memories. Would recommend this site and area to everyone. The only thing we forgot about was how steep and narrow some of the roads were.

The Cream of all Sites

The wardens Allan and Dee are a credit to the club. Always happy in their work. they couldn't look after the site better if it was their own, always willing to help with any problem as we experienced ...thank you. Its also a great location. A good pub with good food just a few minutes walk. With the provisions offered by the wardens and the provisions available in Brampton, you couldn't want for more on the grub front! Probably one of the best dog walks on the network, good news if your a dog, and great views from the van. Superb.

A Happy Site

A splendid welcome, in spite of arriving at 1950 hours, harrassed and unbooked. The dog walk is super and Broughy loved it. The site is very flat, very clean and tidy and the facilities very well-maintained, but the cheerfulness of the wardens is the thing that really makes the site special. Nothing was too much trouble - from looking up bus services to assistance with running repairs (not mine, thank goodness!) and supplying gorgeous croissants at breakfast time. Many thanks.

A Hidden Gem

We had a wonderful 5 day stay at this site as the start of our 6 week tour of Devon and Cornwall. The Wardens were so helpful - we are nubies and nothing was too much trouble.  Lovely clean facilities, I liked the idea of music in the toilets/showers - not necessarily my ideal music but it gave a 'presence' and some privacy.  The site was kept immaculate.  Wonderful fresh croissants each morning freshly cooked.  The local pub is about 10 minutes walk through the lakes with gardens on the river bank. They serve excellent meals. A hidden gem will definitely return when we are in the area.

Another Visit

We have been to this site several times and this time managed to secure one of the serviced pitches - which were worth the wait! Al and Dee were welcoming as ever and the site was as good as we've come to expect - immaculately maintained, with Al seemingly on the case from early morning to late evening, with in addition a nice dog-walk, a very nice loo-block, and views to kill for of the Somerset/Devon hills. The local pub is excellent for food and drink and its riverside garden is one of Buster's favourites, and locally there are some lovely villages and great walks. Interesting to note that this is one of the few sites where the users, almost to a man, drive at 5mph - or risk "the look" from Al - almost comically effective when a miscreant transgresses the rule, but it does work! If you've not been, this site is a gem worthy of a visit.

complete relaxation

What a fabulous site. The wardens were very friendly and cheerful. We were on a serviced pitch and were able to park our van the other way round, which gave us fabulous views, but to be fair I think that most vans would have great views too. The site was spotless and set in a beautiful location. Lovely walk to the local pub which sits alongside the river. Lots of lovely places to visit in the area. We will definitely return, the wardens are a credit to the site -it is wonderful.
