Family Stay May 2015

Arrived on Friday leaving tomorrow. Our second visit to this fantastic site (last visited in 2013). The site is spotless and the new wardens have made some further improvements which have made it even better. Music in the shower and toilet block and the hand cream was a definite hit with our daughters and myself. The games room with pool, table football and air hockey was a great past time for our children. You can easily catch the bus into Dulverton where the Bridge Inn is great for a pint and food. The Anchor Inn is within walking distance of the site and serves an amazing Sunday carvery. The wardens are extremely helpful and sociable and are all about ensuring you have a great stay. We will be returning to this site and would strongly recommend it to other members. The wardens were the best we've met to date. No question was too difficult to answer from walks & borrowing maps to fishing. Well done to you both and the extra 'personal touches' you've introduced are greatly appreciated xx

Great clean well looked after site

Lovely site, welcoming staff, we stayed for 2 nights, the fly fishing lake in the village is excellent if you are into fly fishing it's well worth a visit, and there is a small fly fishing shop at the lake. We didn't visit the anchor pub it looks nice though. Fish and chips in dulverton chip shop are ok, chips were a bit soggy, fish was lovely. Nice quiet stay at the end of April 2015?

Excellent Site

Excellent site.  Very well maintained.  Spotlessly clean.  A credit to the hardworking wardens. Poor 02 signal but, hey, this IS Exmoor!

Great Site

Another site that never disappoints whenever we visit, the pitches are well maintained as are all the facilities and the wardens are always very helpful. We went to the local pub which is a short walk via a gate from the site through the fishing lakes, not the cheapest place to eat but the nearest without taking the car. As many have said the area is very pretty and Dulverton is worth a visit if only to taste the cakes at Mortimers Tea Rooms (formerly Lewis's).

Brilliant Site

This site wins on more or less everything: edge of Exmoor; near Bampton and Dulverton for shopping; open airy site; extremely well managed.   This site is made by the wardens.  Their open friendliness and total care for the site and its users makes it one of the best sites to stay on.  Stayed several times and it has always been the same. We had awful gales and they were out advising and helping and laughing - with not at. We don't have young kids now but ours would have loved it however I can see that there may be a lack of on site things for children who require amusement laid on rather finding their own.   However Spanner, the warden's dog, is happy to oblige. Take wet weather gear and be surprised by how much sun there can be but do remember this is Exmoor. Love it!

A beautiful Site

This is a truly beautiful site in a stunning location. The site is extremely clean and well cared for and all credit goes to Alan and Dee, the wardens, for their tireless efforts. You could not wish for a nicer or more welcoming site than this. Everything is kept just so and it was a complete pleasure to stay here. We'll certainly be back next year. Carol and John Gray.

Easter Break

This has to be our favourite site! Spacious pitches, excellent views and beautiful surrounding countryside. Site is immaculate with extremely hard working wardens. Dulverton village is about 10 minute drive providing bakery, butchers and a small Co-op....oh and a lovely tea room! Looking forward to our next visit in May!

WET, WET, WET - Not the group - the Weather

Arrived day before Good Friday, weather on journey had been poor. Site affected by four days of wet weather. Grass pitch extremely wet under foot. Alan used tractor to position caravan. Weather improved and we had a great time there. Super area to explore - I recommend Tarr Steps. Both Alan and Dee - Best Wardens - we have met so far. Recommend site to any-one

Easter 2015

Been to this site many times now and prefer it to Exmoor House just a short distance away as pitches have more space.  But it was exposed when a gale passed and did it rock the caravan so make sure you have pegged the awning down wel!
