The Best!

I had already decided that Exebridge Lakeside was the best site I had ever visited, and said as much to my travelling companions- even before we were unfortunate enough to be involved in a head-on collision on the tight bend just yards from the site. A learner driver had taken the bend too fast and had strayed onto our side of the road- resulting in our car being written off and two of us being taken to hospital. The wardens were fantastic, and prevented a traumatic event from becoming a complete nightmare. They offered use of the office phone and information room to sort things out when my mobile ran out of credit and helped in so many other ways, I felt supported by friends when I needed them most. We will be back- hopefully with a happier ending to our stay. You won't be sorry you booked a stay on this site- just take care on those country roads!

A cracking little site!!

We have just recently returned from our visit to this site where we were lucky enough to be able to stay two more nights because we enjoyed it so much - even though this summers weather was... not so summer like! We originally booked the site based on the reviews we read on this website and we were not disappointed. The site is in a good location, a 3.5 mile walk from Dulverton and close to the heart of glorious Exmoor with loads to do and see - even with two children in tow. As soon as we arrived we were given a friendly warm welcome from the wardens. With the very clean toilet block, well groomed hedges and lawns, the well stocked well priced handy little shop, the well cared for games room and all the other little extras the wardens added around the site – it didn't take us long to recognise that their enthusiasm, commitment and hard work was all geared to giving us a very good family holiday. We will be back.. and thank you!!

Fantastic site

What a lovely site - spotlessly clean, well maintained with really friendly staff who went out of their way to help (especially on our last morning when it was pouring with rain as we were taking down our awning!).  Really lovely dog walk area.  Very peaceful but with a great children's play area and games room.  Well stocked shop with fresh croissants in the morning.  Thank you for a great few days.

can not wait to return

A perfect site for a holiday with great views across towards Exmoor, the site is spotless and a credit to the wardens who work hard to keep it like that, you can buy from the on site shop great pasties and pastries that are locally sourced. Looking forward to going back.

Worth travelling the distance

We've just returned home following 11 nights at this superb site and we have every intention of going back to this site before too long. The pitches are nicely sized and the site was spotless and nicely laid out. The site is beside a road and at certain times, traffic can be heard passing by but it did not spoil our stay. The site is easily accessible and the Warden's shop is very well stocked. It's a long way for us to travel but well worth it.

A lovely site

We stayed here for four nights on our way down to Cornwall.  The site was well up to expectations with friendly wardens, spotless shower block and well kept grounds.  We spent one morning mooching around and shopping in Bampton - a delightful little town - and one afternoon shopping in Dulverton - another lovely little town.  The rest of the time was spent geocaching along some of the many footpaths within a few miles of the site and relaxing.  A very pleasant few days.

We'll be back!

We will certainly be returning to this tranquil, beautifully located site!  Spacious pitches, lovely views, friendly wardens, large dog walk, great pub nearby - what more do you want?

Too good to miss

Just an hour from home we've found the ideal place for a breakaway without travelling miles.  Lovely site with facilities far superior to those we've encountered on other sites, immaculately clean everywhere, fantastic wardens, both so friendly and helpful, can't recommend them or the site highly enough.  We'll definitely be back!

Once again, Sublime

I love this place, its nigh on perfect, barring the internet, purchased a week, probably could only get on adequately for 2 days at most, and I'm not talking about streaming, this was for emails only. Good for famiilies if the weather is good, and your out siteseeing, but maybe a bit remote for teenagers otherwise, which is of course the main reason I love this place.

Nice site, great stay

Our 6th visit. We like this site a lot, for it's location, surrounding scenery, accessibility to a nice pub and facilities. Only drawback was not being able to log onto internet for most days of our 9 night stay.
