Wonderful week on a premium site

Just returned from a wonderful week at Exebridge. From the outset the welcome was great from the wardens. "Mr Warden" very enthusiastically enforces the rules of the site to ensure everybody remains safe and the site is kept to impeccable standards. He has a story to tell about most things and is very helpful and will often stop for a chat and a break from his ride on mower. Their enthusiasm for hard work is top notch - very clean toilets and immaculate grass and hedges. Views are wonderful with very little man made objects in sight. Nice pub in walking distance from the site next to a babbling river and others a few miles away. Loads of places to visit, notably, Tiverton - lovely lunch by the canal, Dulverton, Lynmouth and Watersmeet - great walks. Limited interest for families if looking to regularly visit beaches or very local child friendly attractions. A lovely week and certainly on our short list for a return visit. Ps. Route to the site from the M5 is a breeze, wide roads and very few pinch points, just follow the site instructions given here and its no problem at all - even the rather interesting junction at the Black Cat.

"MR WARDEN........"!!

After visiting this site for the first time last year, we made sure it was going to be our main holiday this year and stayed for 10 nights. We were not disappointed! Alan and Dee are so helpful and friendly-our girls call Alan "Mr Warden" and he was always happy to talk to them, no matter what he was working hard on. They remembered he said about a water fight last year, so made sure they took their guns, and true to his word he took on over 10 kids, but his gun is 3 foot long!! Dee is always smiling and they both spoilt our kids rotten. The facilities are fab and so clean, the dog walk area is huge so our Buddy was a happy boy and the play area entertained the kids, so we didnt explore the area as much as normal. However, there are lovely places nearby-Tarr Steps, Dunster, Lynmouth and of course Exmoor! Would highly recommend and yes, we will be going back!!!! Sorry Dee and Mr Warden!

What a wonderful site. Our favourite. Stayed 9 nights this year. The wardens are superb. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this site. Great views too on the terraces.  Farrell (8) says. "Nice play area. Toilet blocks nearby. Just a nice place"

summer 2015

A lovely site, on arrival we were greeted warmly and found the perfect pitch for us and Fudge our dog. Fantastic dog walking area were we made lots of friends, human and canine! Site well maintained to the usual high standard we have come to regard as normal for the Caravan Club. Well situated for sea side and walking. Nothing bad to say, we will return another year maybe for 2 weeks next time.

Happy camper

Lovely site on edge of Exmoor with superb facilities. Wardens very helpful and friendly and a well stocked shop. Easy walk to The Anchor Pub with lovely riverside gardens and a good menu. Close proximity to Dulverton and other places of interest. Our two weeks in July were very enjoyable and relaxing but our awning did flood during 24 hour non stop rain. Another bonus was the excellent dog walking field fully secure. All in all a well run site.

A Great Site/Our Favourite

We have been to this site three times this year and will be going again before the season finishes. The site is very well kept, the toilets spotless and we even like the piped music!  Dee and Alan the wardens couldn't be more helpful and having the little shop is a bonus, we love the croissants! There is plenty of places to walk our 2 dogs and to eat at the village cafes dotted around the moor.  It is easy to get to from the motorway and only 20 miles from the north coast. What a shame more of the people staying on site on the 25 July didn't support the fund raising tea party as both wardens had put so much effort into preparing everything, however those of us that did attend had a lovely afternoon and it was a chance for us all to sit and have a chat. See you soon!

Our stay at Exebridge.

We found our stay to be very welcoming and the site wardens could not do enough to help. The facilities were very nice, spotless toilets and showers lovely shop with local goods, outstanding views and very picturesque. The rivers were beautiful and ideal for angling. The only fault i have is the internet not very good, but i will definitely go back .

The Best!

I had already decided that Exebridge Lakeside was the best site I had ever visited, and said as much to my travelling companions- even before we were unfortunate enough to be involved in a head-on collision on the tight bend just yards from the site. A learner driver had taken the bend too fast and had strayed onto our side of the road- resulting in our car being written off and two of us being taken to hospital. The wardens were fantastic, and prevented a traumatic event from becoming a complete nightmare. They offered use of the office phone and information room to sort things out when my mobile ran out of credit and helped in so many other ways, I felt supported by friends when I needed them most. We will be back- hopefully with a happier ending to our stay. You won't be sorry you booked a stay on this site- just take care on those country roads!

A cracking little site!!

We have just recently returned from our visit to this site where we were lucky enough to be able to stay two more nights because we enjoyed it so much - even though this summers weather was... not so summer like! We originally booked the site based on the reviews we read on this website and we were not disappointed. The site is in a good location, a 3.5 mile walk from Dulverton and close to the heart of glorious Exmoor with loads to do and see - even with two children in tow. As soon as we arrived we were given a friendly warm welcome from the wardens. With the very clean toilet block, well groomed hedges and lawns, the well stocked well priced handy little shop, the well cared for games room and all the other little extras the wardens added around the site – it didn't take us long to recognise that their enthusiasm, commitment and hard work was all geared to giving us a very good family holiday. We will be back.. and thank you!!
