Perfection

We stayed here for the last few nights of the season before it closed for the winter. Alan and Dee have maintained this site immaculately. Saturday was a perfect day - clear blue sky with early morning frost on the ground, stunning autumn colours, stags roaring. We went for a delightful walk past the lake to the River Exe and followed the river until hunger drove us to The Anchor for a huge breakfast. The area was full of wildlife with flocks of redwings and fieldfares, plus the joy of a kingfisher zipping up and down the river. In the evening the wardens arranged an end-of-season party. As I said, a perfect day.

Exbridge Lakeside in the Fall

Just returned from Exbridge this is the second time this year we have stayed at this Fabulous site this time for 5 days Alan and Dee the wardens superb everything spotlessly clean we cannot understand why more members do not use this site we arrived on the 29th Oct approx. 10 units on the site. Our previous time in July it was only 40% full members do not know what the are missing. It suited us very quite. Wishing Alan and Dee Best of Luck at Peterborough.

Our first visit to exebridge lakeside

Fantastic site. Superb wardens Alan and his lovely wife made us feel so very welcome - should receive an award for their support and warm welcome during our stay. Site is absolutely spotless at all times. Only criticism is that in the evenings and early morning the area around the designated dog walk is very very dark when I took my dogs there, otherwise perfect. (incident did occur during our visit that has been reported to the caravan club)

As good as ever

Having stayed here several times in the past, we only stopped this time for a couple of nights to break up the long journey home from Cornwall, but are so glad that we did. The wardens were as welcoming as ever and the site immaculate and quiet.

Gold Star Wardens

We have stayed on this excellent site 7 times over 8 years normally visiting in the October for the deer rut. Good location for visiting Exmoor, pub with good food within walking distance and great for star gazing and listening to wildlife at night.I should like to sing the praises of the current wardens who have managed to improve a good site into an excellent one. Their good humour and willingness to chat to 'vanners on site has never failed to impress and the gentle reminders concerning club rules, especially with regard to dog fouling and speeding on site are in my view very welcome. (Especially as some wardens on other sites seem too frightened to even mention such things). Also the skills in keeping the hedges cut to a sensible level and the improvement to the dog walk need a mention as well. I understand that the wardens are moving on at the end of the season to Ferry Meadows. That will be Exebridges loss and Ferry Meadows gain.

Five Days

Just stayed here for the last five days, what a pleasure it has been, the site clean and tidy. For those who like to go for walks it is fine to walk to Dulverton all along the river, the walk to Bampton was not quite as dog friendly because some styles were wired up, so we came back by road. Tarr Stepps is not far away the dog loved swimming in the river. We most certainly hope to return

Graeat Site

We tried to book Exmoor House but it was full but the warders there suggested this site and we are glad she did. Excellent facilities, site well kept and easy to find. 3 mile walk to Dulverton and 5 minutes to the pub if you want to.

Love it! One of the best sites

This is a site we keep going back to. It is not far from Exmoor with walks and everything that the moor and not too distant sea have to offer. Enjoy the sunny days and have some waterproofs for the less good ones - it's Exmoor and the varied weather is all part of the magic. The site itself is well laid out and kept in immaculate order. The small sparation hedges are kept at just the right height to maintain views and break up the wind. The shower block is always clean and an eye is kept on it throughout the day so despite the efforts of some careless users it is always ready for use. The big positive on this site is it is friendly. It is a waterpoint chat site, a toilet block chat site and an office chat site. The friendliness comes from the wardens who, unlike some, are visible around the site and stop for a laugh or catch up. Their tractor riding dog likes a quick chat too.

Country retreat.

Stayed at Exebridge Lakeside for the first time this September, the last few roads leading to it are typical B roads, so be prepared to slow down to get past larger vehicles, it states not to use the postcode, I don't know why as my Tomtom took me there without a problem.  It is a typical caravan club site, clean toilets, friendly wardens and well kept grounds. It is a terraced site with flat pitches, the views are not spectacular as there are tall trees all around, but this also keeps any road noise to a minimum. There is a big dog walking area and a small children's playground. There is not much to see close by, unless you like walking for a few miles, be aware this area is quite hilly. There is a pub close by that is next to the river and it is only 5 to 10 minutes away, and that is walking slow, they also serve food during the week, with a carvery on Sunday. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing time, this is the place for you.  P.s. And look out for the dog riding in the large mower.
