Very enjoyable (but very hot) break

We thoroughly enjoyed our latest break at Exebridge. The site is in good condition, is spick and span and the wardens are helpful and friendly. There are good local shops in Bampton, good local walks and many places to go a little further away. The only down side (as always) is the unnecessary noise made by dogs and the odd fellow 'vanner.

Another superb week !

Just returned from another week at Lakeside, and nothing has changed !! The site is superbly kept and is a credit to the wardens, who both work very hard. We tried a serviced pitch on this visit which just enhanced our stay. All pitches are spacious, level and very well kept. The 'facilities' were again spotless at all times, though when the site is full, as it was over the bank holiday weekend, I do wonder if there might be a case for a couple more toilets and showers. That said, we encountered no real problems. Ok, there may be a little traffic noise from the adjacent road, but it was of no concern to us. All in all a great week, and we will return !!

Short break

Second visit to this site. Great location and scenery. Spotless facilities and best showers from all sites we have visited. Our only negative and disappointment was not being allowed to use the grass pitches as we did on our previous visit. All grass pitches looked great to use and had been used the previous Easter weekend. Not aware of restriction when booked.

Easter Break

This was our 5th visit We stayed here last week & thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had a serviced pitch - water = similar length to an electric hook cable used (about 10m) - electric (normal) & waste = was by the Jockey wheel as we pitched front way in & so tube went front to back (about 8m). We took our bikes to do some of the Tarka trail (Braunton to Barnstaple) - about 1 hr travel each way from Exebridge & the ride is 5 miles each way There is a Morrisons (food & fuel) at the main roundabout with Tiverton & M5 & Barnstaple which is just before to start the 15 min trip to the site. Take care but its not to difficult as I have an 8m twin Enjoy Steve

Another Lovely Break

Exbridge is a really lovely site one that I am looking forward to visiting again. The site is immaculate in every respect and the wardens could not be more helpful or friendly. We stay on a serviced pitch when visiting the site the pitches are large and superbly situated each one enjoying great views down the valley. Easy access makes the journey to the site convenient and enjoyable it takes us a little over an hour and three quarters from the middle of Dorset the only problem we encountered were road works at Yeovil but these will be completed in time for the summer season. I'm a very keen fly fisherman if you enjoy the same pastime the site sits comfortably close to two great fishing waters Bellbrook and Hart fishing which is literally 300 yards from the site. Hard fighting fish of exceptional quality are there to be caught and at the end of the day a visit to the Anchor pub just 200 yards away is well worth a visit the food is brilliant. Can't wait to return.

Virgin Trip

We are virgin Motorhome owners and stayed here last weekend for our first foray into staying on a site in our Motorhome. The site was clean and very well maintained. We were welcomed by Judy and Tim and were made to feel really welcome. We explained we were novices and they offered to help where they could We had a great stay- we cycled and my son played on site. We ventured down to the games room- take 50ps! Judy and Tim recommended the local pub- The Anchor, for food. We were given a card that gave us 10% off in the on site shop. The walk there is pretty but take a torch! The pub is super friendly and the food excellent! The local lager was lovely and the Merlot- excellent! We went into Minehead for the day to visit family and that's not too far. We had to park on the street- made simpler as one of our party has a disabled badge. Although, I think there's a park and ride? Overall, really lovely site in a nice area. I'd recommmend and would stay again.

Beautiful Location

Beautiful location and the site was immaculate thanks to the hard working wardens. Easy access from the A395 which does run along the top boundary of the site, so does result in some road noise on the upper terrace. Well kept hedges and grass and a very good dog exercise area, completely fenced so the dogs could run free. Also excellent walking past the lakes and along the river. The only question is why, when there is such a good dog walking area, do some people still have to parade their dogs around the site roads past everybody's caravans multiple times a day.

Perfection

We stayed here for the last few nights of the season before it closed for the winter. Alan and Dee have maintained this site immaculately. Saturday was a perfect day - clear blue sky with early morning frost on the ground, stunning autumn colours, stags roaring. We went for a delightful walk past the lake to the River Exe and followed the river until hunger drove us to The Anchor for a huge breakfast. The area was full of wildlife with flocks of redwings and fieldfares, plus the joy of a kingfisher zipping up and down the river. In the evening the wardens arranged an end-of-season party. As I said, a perfect day.
